Anyone who’s interested, here’s a FEW reasons why I don’t like Caleo.(PS, this is not meant to offend anyone, I’m just stating my opinion. Let’s not, m*rder each other over this please. Let’s be civilized, thank you.)

I know it may be romantic, but there just wasn’t enough development for me. Yes, when I read the book I may have had a fan girl crush on Leo, but that’s not what was wrong with it. Here are my reasons.

1: Do you believe in “Love at first sight”? Cause I don’t. You may find someone attractive, but you can’t immediately LOVE someone. Yes, I know they hated each other, but that actually leads me to my next point.

2: The freaking human brain. She hated with all her soul, and then a few days later kisses him? Seems kind of suspicious to me.

3: Calypso is also a bit toxic. She HATED him. And, look, I understand why. She’s been on an island her whole life and been abandoned by every boy that is there. Imma be honest, that SUCKS. But, even if she didn’t honest to goodness hate him, it’s still not healthy or a good thing to take out your anger on people. That’s toxic. What’s she going to do when she gets angry again?

4: They barely knew each other. I mean, come on. And while swearing on the river Styx is a nice gesture, they barely know crap about each other. It’s too soon for that.

Honestly, I would’ve been fine with it if it had more development. And I also wish we got to see more out of Calypso, as she’s kind of an important character here. But this is just my opinion. You can think what you want. I don’t care.

Hello. I have a few questions, and I promise to not go crazy. I am a Caleo shipper, and I would like to know why you guys don’t like Caleo or Calypso? It is a wondeful ship, and Calypso and Leo love each other. Even though it was supposed to be impossible, Leo found a way to reach the impossible to reach island to find Calypso again and keep his promise. He freed her, and he saved her. It is so romantic. They are truly in love, and just them being together beat all the odds.

Hey, so I get you have feelings about Calypso, and I have seen people who are super rude, and I wanted to say, even though I read this to find a reason to "hate" on Calypso that makes real sense, I just want to know that i respect your opinion, but I do realize that my comments are against it.

I really want Uncle Rick to make a side book/trilogy about their relationship development, because I would love to see some of these holes you mentioned filled in. I think they could have a good relationship if given time, which Rick tied a loose end on in Tower of Nero. I think that with the time, Calypso could find her real self, because I want to know which is her real personality, the one with Percy, or Leo??

I also understand that it is technically pedefelia, but since she turned mortal after the curse broke, I think she was aged down.

You are a great author, and a clear fan of the books.

All we all really want is a little more Caleo to really know if we love or hate the ship. Keep voicing your opinion!!

Caleo shippers and haters, hello. I personally am a Caleo shipper, and I’m sorry. But I think everyone is getting too angry about this subject. Can’t we have different opinions and not yell at each other for it? I respect your opinion about hating Caleo and I’m not siding with anyone. I just think everyone best calm down it’s just a ship.

@marcygotstabbedlol I agree. Personally I don’t like the ship Caleo bc of how it started and how it just was, you know? I just wished we got to see more out of it.
