Sorry for the following rant. It is so disgusting to see people on social media mocking male K-Pop idols by calling them gay, girls or robots. Instead of congratulating Korean artists for breaking the mould placed upon them, insecure keyboard warriors attack them because they don't uphold the toxic masculinity hegemony. One woman on a post congratulating Stray Kids for being the first K-Pop group to attend the Met Gala (which they slayed) attacked them by asking if they were a new girl group since they all wear makeup. Instead of seeing this comment as a racist, sexist and xenophobic remark, she said "they should leave the makeup at home then." Do people not see the double standards in criticising male idols for makeup, when they praise Prince, Bowie, KISS, Harry Styles etc? Not to mention every actor who stars in a movie, TV series or play? It's double standards.

@Chatayer I usually do. Today, though, guess I must be more hormonal than usual so it affected me more.

@Hopeless_roMINtic Better to ignore them altogether. People like that will always exist, unfortunately.
