In one universe we didn't kiss that night in June or hold hands that night in May. We were best friends and only best friends. We never got too drunk and said we hated eachother. Or held eachother at two AM. We never said 'i love you' to try and stop the hurt. We stayed friends forever and found other people. We visited eachother and laughed alot. Everything was okay.

In another universe we never spent days together, you never threw me in the pool. I never made you birthday cake and you never met my father. I never knew your middle name. We were parallel lines that never intersected. We don't know what we're missing but we know something's missing. We never figure it out. Life goes on anyways. Everything's alright.
