Well, I'm an Australian and I live in Toowoomba, Queensland. I have for nearly all my life, but I've traveled quite a bit in my short lifespan. I suppose you could call it short; but it's around average for the people on here.
I'm sixteen going on seventeen in August, and I'm a student currently, studying two languages, history, and music. I'm a musician by heart and a tutor by trade, if you can call it that; I adore the English language, and I love to write. So, that's why I'm here.
I play the piano, and I sing. I had a four year love affair with the clarinet that I'm hoping to pick up again soon. I have a love for stringed instruments, and I am not ashamed to admit that I like classical music more than I like anything else. Here's a little secret; despite how I may seem, I have a weakness of ballet and opera.
Most people are surprised when they hear that. Extremely surprised.
Anyway; I tend to write in various styles, first to third person, depending on my mood. I'm experimenting with both prose and poetic forms at the moment, so if some of my work sounds more lyrical don't be alarmed. I write songs too, so that does help. I enjoy lots of genres, but I lean towards tragedy; sad tales are so much more compelling than happy stories. However, I do love to write romance, and I have a love for the historical, themes of war and combat, and I am inclined to some fantasy things. I don't do fantasy or write supernaturally often because I prefer to write things that can actually happen; yet I do have a more science-y edge to my supernatural because I am more a scientific philosopher than an ethical one.
