Like most mothers I know, my mom has super high expectations. For my dad, who cleans around the house and stuff, clean is all dishes but pans are done. No food on the floor or table, and that sorta stuff. My mom is much different, and spends her free time complaining. Its not about her job, which I would understand. Its more like, "Oh I come home to a dirty house after I've been working. Shame on you." or " Why can't you fucking do anything around here, why do I need to do nothing." I get it, it must be hard. But were trying our best here. Anyway, basically my tough and sailor swearing father treats my mother, whom I love like a princess or a queen, but she came from a really bad home, like one of those stereotypical rich families. She can be snobby and fake a lot. My dad treats her like she is the only reason the sun is in the sky, and does romantic things for her. My mom won't even give my dad a hug for his birthday, which is by mother's day, like the day after. Even my sister. I made dad a card, and offered to try and cut back on my computer time, and that was all his presents. For Mother's day, my dad got her some new thing for the apple watch, and my little sister gave her like 10 pictures and a vase. Like my mom may be a princess, but my dad is a fucking princess too. Is this bad? Or normal?

Hey guys. It's been awhile. Awhile since I've been on, or even read on this app/program. But I'm mostly back. I have a quick question though. So do you think that the one who makes the money in the house (My mom) should do special things for the 'stay-at-home' parent (my dad). My dad does big and little stuff for her, like giving her money (that we don't really have) for the iPhone 7, newest apple watch stuff, and at least once a month they go to a super special couples retreat. 1/2
