I hope you are feeling better! I had a similar issue with my 2nd C section (beginning sepsis & wound not healing) and was also in hospital for a week with iv antibiotics. Recovery took a lot of time and I looked like a zombie for 2 months. Once the wound is closed it should be going in the right direction. I wish you all the best and take many little steps! You will get through this, even if it feels like there is no improvement from day to day. Being a new mother - Is already pretty exhausting. You had a c section and complications in pregnancy - Makes it even more straining on your body. Such an infection is just the total overkill in that situation. You and your baby come first now, then your family & all the other important topics in life. I will be waiting for the stories to be continued once you are good again!

I am so sorry to hear that this is going on for so long. 2 months is incredibly long - My wound was closed after one month (and that was bad enough). I keep my fingers crossed and hope the next surgery will improve your condition significantly! I am also relieved to hear from you.

And I’ve definitely felt like a zombie! It’s not a good mindset to write in. I had an emergency with my first and sepsis but it was nothing like this.

I’m stuck with a midline and been on antibiotics for almost two months now my wound is still deep, had the woundvac for almost two months as well, having to change it out twice a week is torture. Then the ID doctor, and weekly labs. With a five year old and newborn I have no life right now with all the home health and doctor visits. But I’m cleared for my third and final surgery so I’m trying to figure out when.
