“Celebrities” like Noah Schnapp among others are absolutely disgusting. Supporting Palestine does not make you an anti-Semite and narratives like this are very dangerous and once again strategic. If he really felt moved by what was going on then he would speak up instead of essentially laughing in the faces of people who do actually care.
          
          Influencers like Brittany Broski truly shocked me the way she has actively said she doesn’t want to speak on what’s happening. This narrative of “as a white woman, it’s not my place to speak” is so incredibly flawed and only aids the perpetrators. Everyone should be speaking on this, no matter who or how you identify. It is an issue affecting human beings. As a feminist, her stance truly shocked me because she has literally been known for her outspokenness. But this is unfortunately where white feminism bears its ugly face. What she is lacking is intersectionality, there are issues that women are facing in Palestine to do with their body autonomy. Women are being forced to have hysterectomies after giving birth because hospitals have run out of resources to help with the complications of child birth. These are all issues that as a feminist and an outspoken one at that that she’d address. But she’d rather keep silent.
          
          I know some people who will be like “it’s not her job to talk about this” but to be quite honest, it is. Her job is to influence hence the title “influencer”. There are many more celebrities and influencers who i could talk about but these were the ones that I had on the top of my head.

          what’s happening in Palestine is not “complicated” or “tricky”. the loss of lives of hundreds of thousands of human lives is a tragedy and it’s in simple terms a gen*cide. Palestinian’s are the victims and there is no two ways about this. why is it that whenever issues involve countries in the middle east everyone wants to sit on the fence or completely ignore the issue? being lukewarm about the situation helps nobody but the perpetrators.
          
          Also the fact that people have to emphasise the lives lost of children and women in order to evoke any sort of emotion from people is shameful. It’s almost as if the general loss of life means nothing. Any life lost, whether it is a child or a grown adult is a tragedy and it should be treated as such.
          
          Access to food, internet, safe healthcare and more have been cut. These are all strategic moves in order to silence the Palestinians. Even something as small as reposting information graphics on social media can influence someone in your small community. Talking to friends and family, informing them, informing yourself, these are all important and take very little effort to do.
          
          This is by no means an attack on anyone but if you do feel attacked then you should question your priorities and whether or not you truly read this.
