@Brownie_Stars true lol but I guess if there were other Pokemon known for stealing/destroying things then maybe they'd get that excuse back? maybe a Tinkaton turned the keys into a hammer?
if I ever wrote a book and it got popular enough that it'd have a fandom for it, I'd just interact with the fandom and talk about hcs and draw fanart and whenever someone tries to tell me my interpretation of the characters is wrong I'd go "girlie I wrote the book"
