          Today I posted a rewrite of my holiday short story: Plus One.  It is almost double the length with new material, but still under 20,000 words, so technically, it's still a short story.   I published it in parts so it's easy to stop/start but still short enough that the entire story can be read in one-shot.
          
          I  expanded some of the scenes and smoothed out the more abrupt transitions.  The characters are more grounded to create the sense that there is more to them than just this little peak into their lives.  
          
          In short, while this rewrite is still just a draft, it is much improved over the previous version.

          Will there be a fourth book of the Vicky series? 

Dear Readers, 
          
          Thank you so much for patiently waiting for the ending of the Novella: Out of the Dark.   I finally posted the final chapters tonight.
          
          I moved 450 miles and downsized from a house to an apartment that was half the size.  I was in the house 12 years before the move, so there was an awful lot of "stuff" to sort.    
          
          In all the moving, sorting, packing, unpacking and sorting some more...  :)
          Well, I lost my notes for the final chapters at least 3 times.  But as you will learn in my Author's note, I had a friend that helped me with the  final push. 
          
          I have already started the research and planning for a few new stories.   I am leaning toward the next book being a prequel to Greenwood Knight as the characters have started talking to me and I think I finally found a way to reconcile the two halves of the story.    If you don't already, be sure to FOLLOW so you don't miss anything.
          
          Thank you again for all the comments and support.  You really are the best part of writing.  So, Dear Readers, here's to many more shared stories.

Dear Readers:
               It's been a little while since I've popped in to say hello. 
               You may have noticed I brought back "Plus One- A short story".  It's a Christmas story so I'll leave it up until the New Year.  Enjoy.
               Since I finished Book Ten which was "In Good Hands", I've  been working on a new Medieval story.  It will be a prequel of sorts to Greenwood Knight and the working title is Darkwood Knight.  It happens at a time when Gwyndolyn's secret rooms in Greenwood Knight are part of a grand estate.   It will explain about the "ancient" royal bloodline  and the "current" royal bloodline that are mentioned in Greenwood Knight.   
          ---BUT---
               For the moment, I've put a pause on Darkwood Knight.   
               Never fear, I will finish it and publish it!   For now though, I am working to finish up a never-published Novella so that I can have something new posted for you by Christmas.

I read all 3 Vicky's book and I simple adore them. I will wait patiently for the 4 book while I start  with the Charlotte series.

          I admit that I'm a little anxious. Of course,  if I hadn't posted my first story 10 years ago (even though I was anxious) then I would never have known the joy of writing for others.

          ***WAHOO!***
          
          My internet service is back at my home.   That was a very LONG 5 DAYS without it!   I wonder now how I managed to survive several YEARS without it.   It's funny what you can become so used to that you take it for granted.
          
          What that means for you is that the new chapters for IN GOOD HANDS are finally posted.   
          
          But I lied.
          
          There aren't twelve chapters...there are 14 posted.
          
          Also, a bit of a warning.  It might be a week or two before I post the next chapters.   But don't worry, as I am pretty sure the next batch of chapters that I post will FINISH the book.   
          
          Yup, we're that close to making the goal:  10 books FINISHED in 10 years.  
          
          Will I  make 11?  Hmm... Maybe.  But I think I will just focus on this one first!
          
          Thank you all so much for the reads and comments.  I cannot tell you how much it helps when I hit writer's block or get the "blahs" and don't feel like writing.
