Would have liked to get the latest chapter out a lot sooner. I wanted to run through it a few more times but my burnout has limited me.

On that topic, yes, I've burned myself out. Contradictory to my last announcement, it happened. I ignored it for a time but I have now come to face the truth. Nearly 8 months of nearly nonstop writing of hundreds and sometimes a thousand words every weekday really built up something. And some weeks ago it all came crashing down.

So as to not worsen my writing exhaustion, I will be putting my story on a hiatus until I manage to get out of this annoying burnout. I know, I hate it too. But this won't be an overly massive pause. My best guess is I might get back to work sometimes in late August. Hopefully before my birthday hits (Which is at the end of that month so it shouldn't be too hard).

I ask for your patience. And I thank you for whatever you can give. Know that while I'm not writing, I am getting some pre-planning in for the later series. So I actually know what I'm doing when I get there.

Until then, I might boot up more artwork. I'm thinking of trying out painting this summer, only it's too hot outside! And I fear getting paint everywhere inside. Rather inconvenient timing for me to try something new. But I'll update the art book if I ever get something done on that.

Thank you all for your support, I'll see you all around. Best days until then!

@GeneralZarax Sorry to hear about the burnout, hope you get an opportunity to relax and straighten everything out :)

Take your time too, I have every intention of re-reading A Man and a Beast - and any sequels that may follow - whenever they may arrive ;)

I'd love to give painting a try. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

@GeneralZarax take all the time you need! It's better to enjoy what you're doing than not enjoy your summer.

Apparently I forgot to schedule my chapter and just now found out it wasn't posted. Completely my fault. The next few should be all ready to go.

On that note, I'd like to address similar things. My backlog of chapters is starting to run short. These last few months haven't been particularly fruitful. Even when I inevitably run out of buffer chapters, I will try my best to get you all the updates you deserve.

By some miracle of God I haven't gotten severe burnout from writing. But it has been slowing and I'd be a fool to ignore it. So I thought it best to let you all know there might be an approaching time where chapters don't come out once a week.

I thank you all for your support. Have a great day wherever you may be!
          Until then!

@DragonsDwelling Thank you. I will try and maintain somewhat a resemblance of my current scheduling. The big reason I've been fine with a steady week by week is thanks to the dozen chapters I wrote before I started publishing. It proved to be a great choice as I have been given a lot of flexibility.

If it so comes to it, I might return to my old 1-2 pattern: One chapter every two weeks. Essentially how you do yours. It worked before and I believe it can work again. Hopefully I can get the ball rolling again before then.

Day was fine. A tired one for sure. I write this half awake. Enjoy your own day!

@GeneralZarax No worries! Post whenever it suits you - honestly, it's incredible that you've been able to post a chapter every week.
Hope you're having a great day too! I can't wait to reread your book - seems like there's a lot of new stuff in it.

Are you there?

GeneralZarax

@Cool05guy2000 Yes I am.

I saw your suggestion and thought about it. But ultimately I'm rather busy with life and have many other things to do and read relating to other subjects beyond this site. Writing my own story takes enough of my free time.

            But thank you anyways.

            And have a great day.

Decided to drop 2 chapters today. This might become a common trend for any chapters I make below 1000 words. The chapter lengths are going to be noticeably shorter than before because I'm pacing them within a reasonable length of an actual novel's chapters. However most average in the 2000s.

So that is good for you guys because they will drop more often. (And any writers block won't keep me held back too long)

Hope you all enjoy that chapters!
          See you all next time!

GeneralZarax

The first 3 chapters are up (Minus the part 1 break)

For the first month or two I will update once a week. I will aim for Wednesdays. However after that I will roll out a chapter once every two weeks in order to maintain a steady buffer.

So I hope everyone enjoys the rewrite of A Man and a Beast!

To all my fellow west hemisphere people have a happy new year! Same goes to everyone else who are already hours into 2025!

I will have the first chapters out around 11. Possibly sooner. All depends on when I wake up!
          Till then everyone!
And have a happy new year!
