I'm running through a long, dimly lit hall with people who appear to be my classmates. Some of them are people I don't know or talk to. They all look panicked, but speed past me. I glance behind to see what we're running away from. Fungus. The hall is being eaten away by quickly growing mushrooms and darkness.
In the halls, we pass multiple doors with an exit sign above. The person most ahead uses the extra time they have to try to open one of the doors, but struggle. In what seems to be in no time, we all pass them, and they fall into the darkness. Leaving only a shriek that echoes and shakes the hall ahead.
This pushes me to keep moving forward more than I ever had before. I try to take larger and farther steps to get as far as I can. Somehow, I pass every single one of the them. I glance back to see how much I had progressed, but when I do, I'm alone. I'm the only one left; everyone of them has been swallowed up by the fungus and the darkness. Fortunately, the fungus almost looks meters behind me. I'm a safe distance, but I'm still not safe.
I look up ahead and notice the hall ends and leads to another facing the other way. I reach the intersection and look down both ways. The rest of the hall to my right goes on for about a dozen feet and just ends. Its pitch black that way. I look down the otherway and see a glowing door with an exit sign above it. I run that way like I had did before. The farther I go, the longer the hall seems to stretch. I hear the echoed screams from behind; the fungus is nearing.
I don't look back and ignore it all. I try to repress it as I notice the hall has stopped stretching and I get closer and closer to the door. The screams, however, shout into my ears, agonizing me, overwhelming me, trying to pull me in. I push it all the way back and push against the exit door as hard as I can. (1/2)
