If you had a sense of decency you'd take down the dog life fic. Whether you did know that it was extremely similar to somebody else's work or not (if you're telling the truth about that it's a bit of a stretch to be honest) you really should take it down. It's unfair on the author since it is pretty clear you plagiarised their story, which is actually considered an offence (in a way it's a form of stealing) and whether you intended to do so or not, it doesn't look good and I believe you owe an apology to tragician child and your readers

Take down the dog oneshot. it's not yours. I'll be damned if you think that it's gonna fly. you stole copyrighted materials that do not belong to you. 
          
          having an opinion on someone's books are one thing. doesn't mean you need to share said thought. especially when you stole the same authors works, which are in the same style.
