It’s been a while. I’ve republished The Ninth Life the way I left it just over 4 years ago, but it is not indicative of how far I’ve come as a person. I’ve fallen in love with myself and someone else since my last message and I don’t know how to describe all the emotions I’ve felt. All I know is that things are changing soon for me, and I don’t yet have what takes to write my 10 year old story as legendary as I’ve always wanted it to be. I apologize, have happy days

After hitting a couple of walls writing Nightvision, I’ve come to the realization that I cannot rewrite the story the way I want to... right now. I always knew this series would be a long-term project, but never did I imagine it could be so difficult. I still maintain that my series is flawed in the ways I’ve said previously; however, I’ve slowed down due to the start of the school year and due to the fact that I’m just not very good at writing beginnings.

I feel as though the series as a whole is out of touch with what both young adult and mature audiences look for in their fiction. It’s an awkward feeling, wanting to so badly write a story, but not being a good enough writer to write it.

Recently, I’ve found I have the potential to be a leader when it comes to the field I’m majoring in. Though I have numerous other, less healthy habits, I feel it is the right time for me halt all work on my series. I feel weak having to write this message, but I promise I will complete Nightvision at some point. Felix’s story does not end where it is now. I will be reuploading much of The Ninth Life by winter break.

After-midnight update! So my summer is here and to be honest I have nothing finished. However, I’ll say I have been working on The Ninth Life and am formally renaming it as Nightvision. I’m reVAMPing the trilogy to make my characters rounder and to make the events of the first book more relevant its two sequels.

From the second book onwards, I made Felix increasingly overpowered, with little reason as to why. I made the opposite happen to Kassandra - she suffered serious losses despite who she is in the larger story.

Another problem I have with The Ninth Life, Overwatch, and Foresight, is my villains. I feel as though I failed to spell out their motivations or make them believable.

I’m being vague but as of right now, Overwatch and Foresight are canon. I don’t intend for them to stay so.

Hi, it’s been months since a status update so here it is. I’ve been busy with engineering courses so I haven’t really been working on any stories. I’ve hit a roadblock where I’ve realized how bad my The Ninth Life novels actually are, and how much work I have to put it in present my vision of what they should be.

While the main plot points are there, I began arcs and never finished them, left in details that don’t really matter, and confused numerous other things about them.

I’ve been working on another installment to the series but will not finish it by the summer deadline I’ve set myself. I will probably publish it in an unfinished state.

I’ve promised myself I will work on Felix’s story until I feel it is worth being told generations after my time. I began writing because I felt I had a story worth reading, but right now, I feel I’m at the important stages of my own life.

Good morning, afternoon, evening all! I'm in the busiest year of my education yet, so I haven't had much chance to work on anything here. I'm making changes to my life to keep my grades up as well as start my career as a Mechanical Engineer. One of the two projects I'm writing for Wattpad is a rework of my first novel, The Ninth Life. After publishing its two sequels, I feel like I've become a more concise writer and can tell its story better. There are a couple of arcs that went undeveloped and a couple of details The Ninth Life could've gone without. My goal is to write a more exciting pilot novel that fits well in the series. The second project I won't reveal yet, but I might drop it sometime in summer 2019.

          Flying low and fast, FGL.
