@Fookingavocados028 oh god that's terrible. and yeah im definitely also gonna be distancing myself from Ashton mainly cause what he did was not something you can easily forgive. and I would blame the rest of the boys as well for not speaking up and saying anything but Ashton just took it too far imo. thank you so much for the explanation though!

            so on friday ashton went on stage at emo nite (it's a club night where they play 2000s pop punk and emo) and he went to play a snippet of a new song he was teasing. except whilst he was posting the videos of that happening, he also posted a video saying "obviously have to play all time low too" which is what people are mad at. 
            
            (all time low if you didn't know have many allegations of being groomers and just terrible people) people were primarily annoyed because the band have said on multiple occasions they want their band to be a safe space for victims of sa but to see them allowing abusers into that space feels like a kick in the teeth after they say that
            
            a lot of people are defending ashton by saying "it's just music that was popular" but that really has nothing to do with it. we've seen the band being friends with the members of this band and (quite reasonably in my opinion) reminding peopel that if you are ignoring that behaviour/not challenging it then it keeps going and so people don't want to support a because of that
            
            some people are stepping back from the band as a whole as no one else in the band is seemingly doing anything about it either and also because it has been very hard to be on social media at the moment and may just need a moment to regulate everything that just happened which is totally fine! it's really up to you what you want to do but I personally am really not happy that ashton preaches about making a safe space but also being friends with the reason those spaces aren't safe. I suppose I'm distancing myself a little by just focusing on luke atm
