My dudes, you can call me Flammus. And you are "my dude" from the minute you speak to me.
It is unavoidable.
"My dude" is a neutral term applicable to all humans and occasional mugs.
You are all my dudes.

The second you're rude, however, I will throw you out the window.

I can't say the same about torture and gore.
