But are they going to take away the message board notifications? I follow so many people and they post so much stuff and it’s starting to get on my nerves. I don’t know how to turn it off if there is a way.

          then just remember that you're the main character in your own story and yk the story is never fun if the mc didn't have any hardships, so good luck on overcoming it, I'm sure your story will be a good one

          stay safe ❤️

I finally cracked the code. I like roleplaying more than writing because I like seeing others have fun in the worlds I create and have fun with it too. Meanwhile, writing is only fun for me when I publish it and see reactions to it or have a good idea. It's too concrete. I like not knowing what's going to happen. I like exchanging ideas with others. I like it when people add other elements.

@Fishie2k
            Now that you mention it, that is exactly right. I used to write a lot before I started roleplaying, but once I started roleplaying I found it hard to go back to writing. This makes sense about why that would be, not just for me but with all the writers who started roleplaying.

I've been in a writer's slump for weeks now. It's just- my ideas and words were there and then, all of a sudden, they weren't, you know? It's a never ending circle of frustration. I've tried music, looking at pins on Pinterest for inspiration, drawing, staring at the ceiling, and reading. The worst part? I can imagine what the character is doing, but every time I try to put it to words, I can't.

@Fishie2k I totally get what you mean. I've been the same way recently. What I do is think of things completely unrelated with myself in place of the character. Or, when I'm living my normal life I try to describe what I'm doing in my mind like it's a story, describing whatever I'm doing in as vivid and interesting a way as possible, even if it is something completely boring like waiting in line in the grocery store or trying to go to sleep.

Whelp, Mother Nature decided to give my area flash flooding and I'm out of school today. Good thing I live on a hill.

@Fishie2k Man, that's crazy! The closest I've ever had lightning stike to me was on a nearby mountain we were passing by, and I could still feel the current at least a little running through my feet--and I was in a car! I can't imagine being right next to one like that.

@Some_Random_Person98 Metal attracted lightning more than my parents thought. It doesn't help that we have a metal barn and horse fence either. The only fires we had were tiny (like the size of a campfire marshmallow. I put one out myself) and the rain put out the tree fires almost instantly. The first time it happened was terrifying since I was eight at the time, but now it's just like "ugh, it better not strike our house again" every time it storms.

@Fishie2k That sounds so scary! Were there fires? What was it like? I had no idea that a tin roof would do that!
