So, I was listening to Cherry Pie by Warrant and it sparked an idea for an Eddie Munson c Reader story. (I know Cherry Pie was released in September 1990 but it just fits imo)
She's My Cherry Pie
Y/N Maddox lives in the trailer behind Eddie Munson’s.
They’ve been neighbors since middle school—bonded by noise complaints, busted amps, and late-night cassette swaps. Her bedroom window faces his, just a few yards apart. They’ve spent countless nights talking through those windows—him with his guitar across his lap, her flipping through Hit Parader with a cigarette tucked behind one ear.
Y/N’s the kind of girl who looks like she walked out of a music video on Headbangers Ball—torn fishnets, combat boots, denim skirts, smoky eyeliner, and a killer record collection. Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Dio, Ozzy—if it’s loud, fast, and heavy, it’s probably blasting from her stereo.
She’s always been cool. Effortlessly. A real-life Rock Vixen who makes walking down the hallway at Hawkins High look like a concert entrance. And Eddie? Eddie’s the loud-mouthed metalhead who runs Hellfire Club and shreds for Corridor Coffin, the underground band that barely gets gigs outside of The Hideout.
To her, Eddie’s her weird, loyal best friend. The guy who defends her when preppy jocks run their mouths. Who walks her home when it’s late. Who looks at her like she hung the moon—but she doesn’t seem to notice.
To him, she’s everything.
Eddie Munson is in love with her. Has been since freshman year. But he’s convinced she’s way out of his league—like she belongs on stage with Nikki Sixx or Axl Rose, not sharing weed and D&D with a broke-out metalhead.
So he makes a promise to himself:
When I become a Rockstar… she’ll be mine.
