Hey everyone, it’s me. I’ve been writing and publishing Son of Doom of two years now and come to a point of exhaustion and utter disappointment at the work I used to much of my time and effort into for others to read. At this point I’ve been thinking of going onto other works or rewriting it entirely—not finding it up to my liking as it should be. As for the other work I’ve began dabbling into; I’ve started working on a RWBY story and was storming up something of a story in similarity to another author’s work, WiseTomato on FF.Net, in where a marvel character finds themselves in another fictional universe (in this case Dr. Doom ((yes, because he’s one of my favorite characters)) within the WH40K verse). As some of you have said: you do enjoy the longer chapters that I write (because I can’t find myself at a stopping point in most cases), but the problem with my writing is that it mostly consists of too much exposition and or background thoughts in a character that should be otherwise left out. Other than that, that’s all I have to say for the moment, but if you think I should rewrite/rework my story, then please let me know.

I have always thought that you are one of the better writers on this site, and it is my opinion that Son of Doom is fine the way that you are writing it, excellent in fact! It actually is my favorite story on this site. I have always really enjoyed your writing style, it is very thorough and covers everything that is important, yet at the same time leaving out enough for the reader to use their imagination. Your grammar is also some of the best that I have seen just about anywhere. All in all I would like for you to continue the same way that you have been in your writing.

@ FamTactay no you shouldn't. The story is one of the best out there, and I wish many stories on the app to be as good as yours. It's truly one of the best works I have seen in wattpad. But at the end the decision is yours.

I personally love the Son of Doom story, but it’d be really cool to see how you’d rework it to fit what the current you thinks would be better. As for going into other works, I think starting something new might turn your exhaustion around into something better, since you’d have so many new ideas and aren’t on a set path like you would be in another story

I was just wondering if you were still planning on updating Doom DxD, as it has been a while since any updates (or word from you, for that matter)?

FamTactay

Sorry, life has been keeping me busy so I haven’t had time to update or write what I want. (On top of that) I’ve had some other ideas I wanted to try out—that I’m currently typing out—to see if anybody would be interested in them. So, give me so more time to write.

Excuse me, but what happen with the other story? The one with Doom Jr. Crossing over to RWBY?

Rikoerdiyanto

@FamTactay well that's too bad, I really love it and i was getting good part of it!

Oh well, I guess you didn't erase that DXD story, which is good

Sorry for getting to this question so late, but that was more or less of an experiment with my writing technique (mostly just shorting everything to make up for time and to release chapters quicker). I don’t think I’ll be continuing the story unless people wish to.

yes I can see why you would want to rewrite this great story of yours (which is also my favorite because of Dr. Doom). I'm not a professional writer, but I feel that something is missing and needs to be fixed again from your story, especially at the beginning and the OC Doom meeting with his summoning familiars

Even so, I was impressed by the description of the character's background and the actions taken, something that I having problem to do it when making story. My favorite one was when the Son of Doom just crashing the party and BITCH SLAP that Risei jerk like it was nothing!

FamTactay

Someone understands! Yes, I felt like I had something going (about chapters 1-20) then suddenly my creativity and maneuverability with the story dropped after trying too much to intertwine the anime with my own.

Why don’t you write other fanfiction? The one you do work on is great but has some errors in the grammar and words being duplicated which throws the sentence off. But other than those problems I think you would be great at writing other fanfics,(other than the Doom one).

TheCynicalCritic

You will be remembered as one of the best writers on this shitty app, no matter what my good sir.

FamTactay

Eeeh, it was more of a testing thing than an actual new story. I just wanted to test out a new way to write chapters faster and make them less expository and focus on the characters. Sorry about that. But I’m rewriting it as a side chapter for the moment

Thanks, but I still think some stories do better than mine for their simplicity and easy to follow storyline compared to mine
