I'm just an old nerd, and a library addicted. I love books, I can read one in a couple of days if I like it(yeah, I actually did that, for example, with almost any of Jane Austen's books...what can I say? They're fun, and so well written!). I don't think I will try to be an author here. Not enough time. But if anyone needs help with brainstorming sessions, grammar and spelling, or other matters, or even would like to discuss canon bhna theories, I am here 😉.
I stand for human rights in any form. I am a rational and scientific person, don't mess with me about nature because I.will.kick.your.ass.
Now..A couple of not asked advices to those who would like to read them.
- to write a nice story, you should have, even before starting, a pretty good general idea of what will happen and how it will end: it doesn't make sense to start with a very nice idea, and not being able to develop it or to get to the end.
- check your grammar and spelling: it's a pain to try and read about something that could be good and fun, but the writing style simply is STRESSFUL to read (I am NOT an English native speaker, but I know what I am talking about).
- contradictions in the plot, as well as unexplained and unclear plot holes are BAD. The reader notes them. Please try and avoid them, they tend to ruin a good story. However, with a little bit of exercise you can try and use those "problems" to your advantage, adjusting them to the plot itself.
- almost forgot, but fundamental: check.your.mechanics! If you don't know what I mean, I am talking about coherence in the powers/abilities/ world construction. OP characters are often bad to combine without revolutionising the original plot completely, and often such stories result in something unappealing to readers. I am sorry, but so is it.
-last but not least: a good ability to write isn't enough to write a book that's interesting to read, sadly. I myself don't put my hopes high about being able to write something really interesting.
