So I was rehearsing and this girl comes to me and asks for my ethnicity. I told her I was Portuguese, Haitian, Cuban and American and she said “so your not black then”. And I was like “yes I am black I’m just Afro Latina” and she was like “that’s not possible”  and I was like are you dumb. There’s loads of Afro Latina’s. “So your not African then?” And I was like what the fuck is wrong with her she was being so rude “I am African but slaves were taken from Africa and some arrived in America and the rest in Latin America and that’s why I’m Afro Latina”. Is what I told her and she just rolled her eyes and left. Best believe I felt like dragging her by her blonde hair.

Exactly, us Afro Latina’s need to know our history. People seem to not understand that Afro Latina’s are African too and many don’t associate themselves as African it’s pretty sad :(

Guys I saw a sexy darkskin guy in the store yesterday and I looked up at him and he made some type of special eye contact with me and winked I was like  and started blushing, he smiled and then left. I hope I see him again I’m still thinking about it. It felt like a wattpad story coming to life
