Hello, everyone!

I know I have been on hiatus for a while, but I'm trying to start writing again. I unpublished a few of the stories that I have had writer's block on, even before my "disappearance." I apologize if they were your favorite stories, but I have no wish to update them and do not want to get everyone's hopes up either. If you'll stay with me, and give me another chance, I will try my best to keep writing.

          	Thank you,
          	<3 Liz

Hey, would love to read more of Sydney's story if you ever get the chance to finish it. I loved the first book and am already loving the adorably crazy Syd who reminds me a lot of Lexi. Hope all is well IRL and that you find the inspiration to write more great stories. :)

I really do like werewolf romances but one weakness many/most of them have is the generic bad guy theme. ESPECIALLY where the female lead was abused.

Almost none of them have a decent reason why one of the pack members would be mistreated like that.

          There are exceptions.
There ARE ways to make a backstory that gives a reason behind abuse or neglect that makes sense.

I am sure you know the convenient alternatives. In my opinion, cookie cutter villains with no believable motive drag a story down.

Why would a whole pack blame a kid for the fact that her parents died protecting her? How many other people in the pack have been killed by rogues? Who got blamed for their deaths?

The 'evil parent' thing is about as bad, usually.

When you are starting a story, try to think about reasons behind peoples actions.

You can give even the villain a backstory.

Yes, I am aware that lots of people get bullied for seemingly no reason at all; I was one of them. This is still a real question to examine. Why do people bully others? Why does it sometimes get out of hand?

Note: Someone who abuses because he was abused is a cop out. Why did they pick that route? They could have gone entirely the other direction and consciously decided to be Nothing like Dad.

"Why Evil" is a serious question IRL that can be approached and explored in the 'safe space' of fiction.

My 2 cents on improving fiction.

Possible food for thought would include
The Gift of Fear by Gavin DeBecker

And some of the writings of
          C S Lewis
who suggested that evil was good that had become spoiled or twisted in some way.

Hope that wasn't too heavy. We all write for fun but it is good when you know you are getting better than you were or than other writers have done.

Cliches are always there for a reason. Either they reflect a piece of real life, or are there to make life easier the writer... a short cut into the story so they don't have to think as hard.

Well it's 2018. Still wondering if Derren High School is discontinued or not?
At least give us some response. It's been ages and some are still waiting for the book.

@AzxamAbRullo I have been on hiatus for a while, as I have other responsibilities outside of Wattpad to worry about. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I am trying. I have to work, go to school and take care of a family.
