Helloooo just to let you know, I have Harry Pottah club and this chapter is a voting one sooo yeah!

While I'm working on rereading what I've already written, as I'm working on the next chapter of "Stay With Me"--well, a friend of mine suggested putting together a playlist. 
          
          That being said, I'm not really working with any particular playlist right now. Mainly going with whatever tune tickles the brain cells so that the muse gets going. Most of the time, it doesn't even remotely relate to what I'm writing. 
          
          I sh!t you not, my process literally looks like this: 
          Writing funny/witty banter scene--listening to something like "R.I.P." by Margo. 
          Writing a lovey emotions bared scene: listening to something like "We're a f*ckin mess" by Aly Ryan ft Doobie. 
          
          And tunes like that will have been on loop for hours until it's background noise so most of the time I don't even think about the irony of it. 
          
          BUT, also with that being said, I think there's a couple of songs that fit Owen/Iris, the ballroom scene (the one I was actually working with when I wrote it), and another song that fits another pairing's backstory in this novel completely: 
          
          Owen/Iris (at least for now, in the beginning of this story): Wicked Game by Jessie Villa
          The ballroom scene (the song I was listening to when I wrote it): Indigo by Sam Barber and Avery Anna (I was listening to the instrumentals via Youtube--somebody uploaded a Kareoke version, but the song itself is SO GOOD) 
          
          And then there's another couple, whose backstory predates the novel, but if I drop the deets on who they are, it will be a spoiler so I won't drop their names. BUT--the song for them is "Just Like Johnny" by Redferrin. It was MADE for them, and I think I might be addicted to it a bit. 
          
          So, to summarize the beginnings of a SWM playlist: 
          
          Wicked Game- Jessie Villa 
          Indigo- Sam Barber/Avery Anna 
          Just Like Johnny- Redferrin.

Im Pisces too, when's your b-day?

I got roped into watching a wrestling documentary with my husband today (keep in mind--I have NEVER cared for wrestling; not even a little bit). And there was this one "Diva" that said, "I can control my attitude. I can control how I look... I can't really control much else, can I?" 
          
          That really struck a cord. A few cords. I'm not sure why, but that felt truly profound.

My phone blew up with Wattpad notifications today. I forgot what that was like.  Yep. Gonna be up pretty late tonight trying to iron out a little more of Chapter 3 of SWM. Because.... dude O_o  Had me looking every few mins like "Wait---Wattpad knows I exist?!"

Y'all... the amount of pages in my "Stay With Me Cut Scenes" doc is getting concerning.

Also, side note: I am completely tripping out over the fact that Spotify has an AI DJ. I think this dude is my new best friend because it does SUCH A GOOD JOB

          So, I know I ain't been on here in 40 damn forevers. I apologize for that. Sincerely. Honestly. For real. I mean it. 
          
          So ummm... Here's an update if anyone is interested, given the last time I posted was sometime last August: 
          I've been doing a LOT of work on myself. Emotionally/mentally, that is. I've been dealing with some hardcore depression, a few identity crises, the last set of hurricanes that left damage on my house that STILL hasn't been repaired (and It's hurricane season again.. yay.. *cue sarcasm*) Went through this whole thing where I was trying to decide whether I even wanted to keep writing, and.... 
          
          Well, I think I'm in a *slightly* better state now. Depression/anxiety/identity crisis is still a thing, but at least the ideas for a potential story are still there. 
          
          As a matter of fact, I'm working on a whole new set of character sheets. With that being said, I have a question: 
          
          The current story concept is Gaslamp fantasy-meets-Warehouse 13. With promises of half-elves, vampires, witches/wizards, other supernatural creatures, love drama, betrayal, secrets, and a cute little squirrel-like creature with antennae that has levitation abilities named Fluffy. 
          
          Would anyone be interested in reading that? Because I'm totally thinking of making it a series.

Completely unrelated to anything story/writing related BUT... 
          
          The Summoning-Sleep Token. I just discovered this song and it's tickling a happy place in my brain.
