Hi, my name is EB and I'm a public health veterinarian. What that means is while I don't see patients, I help with containing disease outbreaks and am interested in the health of populations. I can share wild, poignant stories about three years of COVID-19 response, but that's not why you're here.

You're here because some months ago, I started daydreaming on a pandemic conference call. I set myself on mute and poured words out on a scratch pad for a character who's been kicking around in my head for years. That spark has grown into four planned books, a NaNoWriMo win, and now I'm sharing the beginning chapters of Griffin's Fate, the first book.

TL:DR - My reluctant hero falls face-first into the magic system and doesn't come out the same way he went in. Seriously, feel bad for Ken. Ken had goals. I'll post periodically and welcome feedback.
