Hello, one and all.

My name's Dustin, and I've been fascinated with the written word since the summer of 1993, when I discovered Stephen King's Misery. I have been a Constant Reader ever since.. King's On Writing is very near and dear to my heart. I've read it three times now, and with every instance, I walk away with more knowledge that I either didn't know before or something I'd forgotten about. It's also incredibly inspiring. I look at it this way: if Sai King return to the craft after his horrific accident in '99, then anyone with the drive and desire can write, too!

I believe it was in the 7th grade that we were asked to come up with an original story based on one we'd read in class. I completed the assignment with relish. It wasn't until later that out teacher informed me that I was the only student to turn in a creative paper. The rest of the class basically copied said story from the book.
Then in the 8th grade I wrote a paper on the assassination of JFK (a subject I'm still passionate about,) and got an A+ from my U.S. History instructor. I wish those early writings were still around. Sadly, I lost them years ago..

In the spring of 2007, I embarked on what would become the basis of my yet incomplete novel, for a creative writing class. That class, and professor especially, singe-handedly changed the way I look at fiction forever. I haven't been the same since. Nor would I want to. I'm striving to be the man God made me to be!

(BTW, I wouldn't be at this awesome site if not for my good friend, Amber, and her passionate recommendation for Wattpad! Thank you, again!)

Please be forewarned, I will be deleting my short science fiction story, Of Mottled Skin, but this is only temporary because I'm going to be revising it soon. So that's good news, as it can only get...
