"If loving you kills me tonight, then I was ready for death the moment you said hello."

@MrNiceGuy11 Well said! This poem is actually from the stage before that, when you truly open yourself as a person to someone and take the leap of faith that you will be vulnerable for who you are... scars and flaws and all.

Thank you for your comment and your follow, also. Greatly appreciated!

In regards to your poem "pick at the fabric". It's not being seen that is special. It's when they stitch themselves into the gaps. Creating not new masks or excuses, but a new person entirely. A person who is strong enough to walk threadbare with their guts for all to see.

“You can approach the act of writing with nervousness, excitement, hopefulness, or even despair—the sense that you can never completely put on the page what’s in your mind and heart. You can come to the act with your fists clenched and your eyes narrowed, ready to kick ass and take down names. You can come to it because you want a girl to marry you or because you want to change the world. Come to it any way but lightly. Let me say it again: you must not come lightly to the blank page.” ~Stephen King

“A true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that’s holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life…” ~Elizabeth Gilbert

“Don’t compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to yourself. How about that for a bold idea? Throw out the notion of referencing yourself against others. It would be so easy to compare and put yourself down. You can all too easily waste time and obscure your own potential by trying to match someone else’s. I figure that the great ones thought differently and let their truths guide them no matter what cost. At the end of the day, you can’t fuck with it. When you compare, you immediately ensnare yourself with a ton of variables and assumptions that can pull you off the trail. Anyone who thinks for themselves and acts upon these thoughts stands a chance."
