I am Ancalagon the Black, the greatest of the winged dragons to be ever bred by Lord Melkor. I am the largest dragon that ever lived, enough to swallow Smaug whole.
During the War of Wrath, Eärendil came out of the west in his boat Vingilot, accompanied by the eagles of Manwë led by Thorondor; and they and Eärendil dueled with me and the other dragons for an entire day. Eventually, Eärendil was victorious, throwing me upon Thangorodrim and destroying its towers. My fall marked the end of Lord Melkor's final resistance.
I'm back, and now I shall wreck havoc upon Middle Earth.
