Tainted Wings

"I'm not perfect. I'm not as gentle as I hope to be, I'm not as happy and radiant as I try and make myself out to be. I'm not the perfect daughter or the perfect friend. I falter. I go cold, I turn distant, I don't talk much. but I always tell them I appreciate and love them every single day. I go numb in order to deal with the pain sometimes. I'm working on fixing it. Yes, some days I'm the kindest person people know, but on other days, I'm a tornado that blows cold wind and destroys nothing but herself.
