I’ve been struggling to write the right tone for 'Ordering Sloppy Seconds'.
The way I thought about and set it up in Trust Fall is vastly different than the one I’m currently using, and I try to be right the middle of those two mindsets, but in the end it just gives a weird inhomogeneous bland of ideas.
You perhaps have felt it in Part 1 of 'OSS', and I can’t ignore the fact that the way the story is now setting itself up won’t align with what I’ve already set up, and what I will have to set up for the other stories I have in mind.
I’ve written three drafts for Part 2, and none of them really fit what I am trying to do, what I’m trying to say with this story.
I am not really sure what I should do. If I should restart from the beginning with my current mindset of the story, follow along the one I had in mind while I was writing 'Trust Fall', find a new, or else… put 'OSS' on hold for now and start the third story I have in mind so I'd get a better idea of what I should build to with 'OSS'. Since 'OSS' is supposed to be the midpoint between the two…
I am not sure what the best course of action I should do…
