My first job titles were Chicken Catcher and Corn Detasseler. I lived a somewhat normal small town life in Nebraska until I dropped out of dental school to become a stand-up comedian and founding member of The Groundlings improvisational comedy troupe in Los Angeles.

As a voice actor I've been heard in hundreds of commercials, a few TV shows, and a movie. I made a bunch of comedy videos, many of which aired on Comedy Central, NBC, and ABC. I also wrote some TV shows for Hanna Barbera Studios. And it is my dubious claim to fame that I set a record for the most winning acts on The Gong Show (three). But then, I also hold the record for the most gonged acts (three). I'm living proof that in life, you win some and you lose some.

After taking a long break from show-biz pursuits to raise a family and make a living in sales, I have picked up the pen again and have written my first novel: The Legend of Butterfield Farm.

I'm also the Founder and President of Goofballs Anonymous®, a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common goofiness and help others do the same. The only requirement for membership is a desire to take silly seriously. Our famed 12-step program has helped countless individuals remove the stigma and shame inherent in a life of ridiculousness. If you or someone you know is a goofball, please consider coming to a meeting.
