MHA's manga is finally over after 10 years of serialization.
It feels so surreal to live and see the day one of my beloved stories come to an end. It surely leaves a bitter taste in my throat and a void in my heart. I've been in the fandom since 2019 when I was a freshman at the university and it accompanied me throughout my college days, so it feels like seeing an era come to an end. Thus, MHA holds a very special place in my heart.
Sure, the story had its ups and downs like any work, but that doesn't change the fact that Horikoshi worked so hard over the last decade. Inhumane deadlines, constant pressures from editors and the magazine, not allowing him to end the story so they could profit from it more, and health deterioration, especially since the manga was weekly. And those who watch Oshi no Ko have a solid idea about the struggles of mangakas.
Whether you like the story or its finale or not, that doesn't change the fact that MHA inspired lots of the newer generation mangakas, such as Gege Akutami (the author of JJK).
So with all that, thank you so much, MHA for teaching us the true meaning of heroism; to just offer a kind hand for those who need it. And thank you, Horikoshi for this story that we'll always remember for many years to come. <3
