But Bardock says in Sparking Zero that Gine has a lot of 'bravado' somehow XD. "I can see where you got the fanfiction idea from now." lol, now I think about it, that’s probably how I first came to know about Bardock and his story (since back then I didn’t have him as DLC in FighterZ)! "I'll give it a shot, and I'll let you know what I think." Alrighty! Okay then! I’ll keep those recommendations well in mind. I’m probably more geared towards action. Haha, 13-2 is a funny title name… Do the fans actually like Lighting? 13 YEARS? What??? Nah, I would’ve given up development if I was in charge of those guys lol. That’s no way to make a game… (or a musical??) That’s crazy progress though - a whole movie and a whole TV show for a game with a rocky start! But the main game really should have explained everything… It's nice they put the extra work in though, instead of leaving it in a sorry state like SEGA did with Sonic 06.

I can see where you got the fanfiction idea from now. /j That's good, I'm glad they're not focusing too much on fanservice. I'll give it a shot, and I'll let you know what I think. He's been a fan since FF6, he can be more of a nerd for this stuff than I am. Either FF16 or FF7 remake would be the easiest to get into if you like action and I would recommend either 6 or 10 if you want turn based. FF13 was trying way too much to be unique and one of the higher ups really had the hots for Lighting (the protagonist) because they made 13-2... then Lighting returns where she becomes a god for some reason... then vs 13 which became FF15. Also why FF15 was so bad was because it was in development hell for something like 13 years and had many project leadership changes along the way as well. (one of the dudes wanted to turn FF15 into a damn musical because why not) Luckily, Square Enix kept updating the game, adding 4+ dlc's, a movie, a tv show, and extra other content to make the story cohesive. They went so far to include a scene from the movie into a later update of the game to tie the story up. Tldr, the patch made the game have an understandable story (if you watch/play 15+hours of stuff outside the main game) and fixed the 1001 bugs that plagued the game. Still not a very good game but it's playable at the very least.

@iMosc1 "when I was younger I thought Bardock was Goku" I can totally understand the confusion! When I was just getting into DB, I thought that Goten was Goku's grandson lol! I had only played a little bit of FighterZ at that point so I assumed Goten was Gohan's son… And imagine my surprise when Bulma said Vegeta was her husband lol My brain briefly short circuited when I played Xenoverse 2 for the first time and Vegeta had a tail in a cutscene! I was like, "This dude had a tail on him?! Since when?!" (On a side note I’ve always wanted to play BT3 but it’s super expensive to buy a copy in my country lol) Honestly, I’ve never really focused on the fan service elements of HSR too much, aside from the number of female characters and one single cat girl. It’s not like they’re dressed indecently or anything, so I've been able to enjoy the experience, personally. Hats off to your dad, that's an impressive FF collection! Thanks for giving me a rundown on how each of the ones you’ve played works. I’m surprised about 16 having DMC combat elements! I've played DMC 4 & 5 so I can imagine how that might look. Unlucky number 13, lol. I’ll steer clear of that one and 15, then! Also, when you say pre-patch, what changed about the game after the patch?
