          That is, until a mysterious prophecy is 
          received and his family becomes wrapped up 
          in its clutches. But the prophecy was not sent 
          from StarClan. Seedscatter is gambling with 
          something much more sinister, something 
          that plans on playing for keeps. When a 
          young kit is born, Seedscatter takes it upon 
          himself to watch over the young cat. She 
          will either be the destruction or the salvation 
          of the clan.

         All kits start out young and naive, don't they? 
         They can't even begin to imagine the horrors 
         that await them outside the walls of camp: 
         the bloodshed, the heartbreak, the vast 
         unknown. Doepaw claims that she'd never
         shy away from an adventure, that she'd fight 
         tooth and claw for what she believes in, even 
         if she must die for the cause. But that doesn't 
         really seem to be the price for wanting what's 
         right. No, the price for peace is never one's 
         own life.
