The female who had leapt away from the chaotic blur of limbs and leaves stood slowly from her crouch. She stared at the visitor in both reverence and apprehension. This dragoness, who firmly held her ground while facing the other titanic beast, was not like many other dragons found in this area. Giant feathers sported from every inch of her wings, like a bird's. Also, she had a crest that has been likened to the cockatoo, or cockatiel, as the dorsal feathers could also splay upwards past the skull's horned crest. She was smaller in size, especially compared to the six-winged dragon; beside her, she felt like a tiny song bird. But this did not daunt her too much. She knew that with a creature of this size, speed was on her side.

The dragoness allowed her furious expression to relax, but her narrowed eyes remained the same. With a slight grin turning up a corner of her mouth, she stepped toward the other dragon without hesitation. "Well, hello there. I'll have to admit, you are unlike any dragon I have ever laid eyes upon, and I have seen quite a handful of amazing things."

The enormous tree that a young dragoness rested in was suddenly rocked violently by a merciless movement of the air, the twisted branches flexing in the might of the wind. The small female's claws sunk themselves into the branch she lay upon, holding herself securely in place. This was clearly not the first time a giant wind has threatened to shake her from her resting spot. She blinked through the earth partials that whipped around her face, and a clear protective film slipped over her eyes. Her tail lashed from left to right as an irritation grew inside her, and although the size of the creator of these winds concerned her, she couldn't resist the desire to scare off whatever pesky thing disturbed her.

With one steep leap from a tree that towered over the majority of the forest, she escaped from the writhing mass before it fell with her clinging to its bark. She landed on all fours in a low crouch while her eyes shot daggers toward the pastel dragon in the sky. But she couldn't help but feel excitement spark in her chest.

A young knight, carrying a large, stone Greatshield in his left arm, held together with thick, iron chains, and a Zweiihander, reinforced to the strongest (according to him, anyways) wandered the lands, humming softly to himself. He placed the sword into his sheath, then placed his Greatshield against the trunk of a tree. He stretched, then yawned, the sound slightly echoing in his helmet. He then sat down on a sideways log, and began to dig through his bag.

After a bit of digging, he pulled out his Estus Flask, and took a swig. "Mmmm~" He said as the honey coloured liquid satisfied his hunger and thirst. He then looked inside. "Aww, man. That was the last shot. Oh well. I can make a bonfire here. I hope."

The young knight then dug through his bag again, this time, pulling out a piece of cooked meat, which was wrapped in aluminum foil. He removed his helmet, licking his lips. He began to eat it, getting his face a bit dirty in the process.

Once he was finished, he put the bone into his bag, then stood up. He grabbed his things, and began to walk again. He would soon find himself at the town, his helmet under his arm. He asked one of the townsfolk where the well was. "Thanks." He went to the well, then cranked until he the bucket of water reached him. He splashed his face, then wiped himself with the blue fabric of his tunic. He then put his helmet back on.

Somewhere hidden in the foliage far behind the wandering visitor, a dragoness waited patiently. She observed the figure with a close attentiveness, noting the multiple metal items they carried with them through her forest. Eyeing the bottle-shaped object he withdrew from a knapsack, her tongue reflexively snaked out of her mouth and tasted the air, wondering if the content's scent could reach her. She then settled into a low crouch while she continued to watch the foreigner, waiting to deem them threatening or not. She knew better than to immediately approach a human with such items this one possessed.

An explosion rocked the ground, the shockwave sending dust to the sky. The wave would toss the dry high enough that it eclipsed the sun, and then would allow it to drift down softly, like small drops of rain. The world went silent for a few moments. When the dust cleared, it became apparent that nothing had been damaged. Not a tree had fallen, dust was the only thing, blackened into a starburst pattern on the ground. If one approached, they would see a black box in the centre. It was silent, simply sitting there, but if one could sense magic it would be seen that the box was heavily warded against magical attack or manipulation. If one could see through the layers of the world, into other dimensions, nothing would be obvious. If one was careful, however, a red trail could be seen faintly glimpsed, connecting the box to somewhere deeper. It was not apparent enough for one to guess its material, yet it was clearly something from the physical world, yet tied with another thing, one that was far less corporeal. The trail was also warded, stopping it from being easily traced.

Without a moment's hesitation, Loukia threw up her colossal wings and thrust them toward the ground while simultaneously leaping into the air. In less than a minute of flight, she had managed to reach the levitating islands that hung high in the clouds above this forest, and disappeared over the edge. A small amount of time would pass while the dragoness regained possession of her small egg, and soon, a shadow of her feathered wings enveloped the clearing in which the dark doorway lied. She could be seen diving toward the earth with the egg clutched tightly against her chest. Not once did she contemplate fleeing with the egg, though; she feared the necromancer would somehow know and manage to capture her once more. A strong sense of urgency encouraged her as well, and she wasted no time with a graceful landing. The ground undeniably shook when she landed on only her two hind legs, and Loukia carefully shifted the cargo into her narrow mouth before continuing towards the necromancer's doorway. The square was dark and foreboding, as it had appeared while she had been under the bioelectric pulse's influence, and there was no way to stop her heart from hammering against her ribs. With a slow intake of breath, the dragoness lowered herself into a crouch and made her way through the menacing doorway.

A low growl rippled through Loukia's chest as the necromancer's presence tore it's way out of her mind, and she found herself able to wince as well. The young adult then released a ragged breath she hadn't realized being held, quickly sucking back in to replace the lost oxygen. After a minute to recover from the bioelectric current that had stolen control over her body, she stood at last.

This will have to be fast, she thought to herself when her golden irises started glowing. Her entire body began to summon forth the sun's rays, quickly becoming enclosed in an orb of light. It grew brighter by the second until no creature, magical or not, could look directly at the sight without burning their retinas. The orb swelled in size, and with a brief flash of overwhelming radiance, the orb disappeared. Just as before, the dragoness stood alone in the darkened forest, in her normal body once more.

The voice spoke again. 'You will retrieve your egg, and you will step through the doorway. Once there, you will enter the river of Death. I will be waiting for you there.' A pleased satisfaction coloured the consciousness, one that could be found in the mind of a cat dozing in the sun. The second the voice finished speaking, the consciousness left, extricating itself roughly. At the same time, the bioelectrical control vanished and the ward preventing all but pure aura venturing through the gate lifted.

((I will tag you in to the River of Death, if you would like. I believe we should move there.))

(( I don't understand how your character can just change any element into toxins though. You changed my fire, and even if you made it toxic, it would still be hot enough to burn you. And collecting the atmosphere's moisture to use as acid rain? Again, how would it become toxic/acidic. I find it kind of unfair that you can seemingly control multiple elements with just your toxic powers, but that's just me. Maybe I'm just frustrated that my character lacks the powers to overpower your own. ))

Loukia sat back on her haunches to keep a careful watch on the swirling cloud and healing wolf, just in case one or the other decided to start another battle. While she waited for Amber to heal herself, she twisted her slender body and neck so that she may lick the wounds on her chest clean, as well as her foreclaws. The coat of saliva Loukia had left on her wounds would encourage excellerated healing and cleanse the poisons left upon her body.

(( And yet I still slipped up. *reaching out to try and catch her again by both her wounded hind legs. You never taught me as a dragon. ))

The plan Loukia had created in her mind as she was diving turned to complete ashes, and her spirits fell as she realized she would be unable to catch the wolf. During the downward arc the dragoness had made to try and snag the wolf as it fell, Loukia purposely swerved above it to avoid it's reaching claws. She would much rather choose to deal with the wolf while possibly injured and on the ground than take the chance for it to tear her wings to shreds. As the great beast flew in an upward curve to allow the wolf to continue plummeting to the ground, she continued to go into a full 360, then stopped to hover in the air above.

Loukia watched with great interest as the wolf finally struck the hard-packed earth, creating a large, bowl-shaped cavity in the ground. Not being able to control her compelling curiosity, she reached out her mind and touched the thoughts of the fallen wolf, checking its vitality. Crowing proudly in triumph, Loukia released a jet of dark purple flames into the sky, which faded to blue and orange near the end of the blazing torrent. The wolf, she had discovered, was still alive but unconscious, thus leaving the wolf at her mercy and meaning she was forced to submit.

With a couple spare flaps of the wings, the dragon was landing several yards away from the broken wolf. All thirst for revenge had drained away along with the energy it had required to take this wolf down, and Loukia was now calm and content, despite the dull pain in her claws and chest.

With a short growl of annoyance, the dragoness drew in her wings as close to her body as she dared, releasing a mighty roar as she shot towards the ground at an astounding speed. Her colorful tail whipped behind her, being used as a rudder to steer her towards the descending wolf. As she fell, Loukia took the spare seconds to coat her wounded claw fingers with her own venom, as well as her hind legs (which took a great amount of twisting while in the air). This would help protect her from further harm from other acids and increase the speed in which they would heal. At the last moment before crashing into Amber, she threw open her wings and swooped directly over her, catching her again by both her wounded hind legs. The force of the abrupt stop in falling from such a speed was enough to rip any joints from their proper sockets and tear any muscles. But the dragon was unsure if it did anything to this pesky wolf. With her now protected claws, Loukia continued on her voyage upward once more while glaring down at the wolf as she teared at the flesh of what was left of her legs. As this was happening with her foreclaws, her hind legs were battering unmercifully at the upside-down wolf's head and shoulders. Finally, she hooked all four opposable thumb-like claws into the wolf's crook between its neck and shoulders and also into its thick thighs. It would have no chance of escape unless it harmed itself. A savage gleam was in the dragon's golden eyes as she tore at her prey's flesh. The dragon had given her the chance to submit. She should have taken it.
