I've edited chapter one of "She's only human." I'd love your thoughts on the changes.

I’m going to be reworking “She’s Only Human” based on feedback. You will start seeing notifications for the edits over the weekend.

I recently learned that both my parents have cancer. They hid it to protect me but the knowledge has caused me to reflect.

I’ve started writing a story titled “When You Realize She Was Only Human and What Comes Next.”

As for the new story. It is harder to write than anything I’ve done historically. I’m using it as a means to process so it may not be as in your face as my other work.

          >>>The other book is on hold.

[I still need a judge to wrap up the bi-annual competition. I gave one book left to read to complete the Poetry and Chicklit genre so those results should be out soon. If you can support this effort there are about 9 stories left to be judged. Let me know.]

Well...I'm nuts. Decided to publish the story. I put up one chapter. It's titled "The Brink of Sanity" if you read it, please post a comment to let me know what you think. Even if its to say "Cathy, maybe reshelf that one" that's OK. If you like it, share that too. Thanks Ya'll!

I’ve been off for a while thinking about whether or not I want to keep writing. There’s a story I’ve been working on for the past ten years if you can believe it. Recently, I’ve started editing it and rewriting it.

Been thinking about posting it but if I’m being honest I’m terrified. So much has been put into this story that it almost feels impossible to share.

          Is that crazy?

          What should I do?

CatherineDeynes

Thanks y’all. Yes, it’s crazy to be working on something for so long and still not feel confident about it. I’ve changed it like a million times (well maybe not that much but a few hundred for sure) ;)

I agree completely! What do you have to lose?

@CatherineDeynes Go for it! If you have been working on this for 10 years it's gotta be good! My interest is piqued.

Hi lovely people, the following genres didn't get judged:
          Humor, Chicklit, Poetry
          Mystery, Horror, Paranormal

It's about 13 books in total.

Feeling up to the challenge of judging these books for these lovely people can find out if they won?

Most importantly, giving them an opportunity to have their book read and maybe even a little feedback provided?

I'm asking for a minimum of 5 chapters because it helps to give a good idea of the material of the book but more is always appreciated.

Feedback is not required, but as I've noticed, some writers do appreciate the feedback.

To show my appreciation, I'll give you a follow and a shout out for being so incredible and supporting these writers.

          Reach out, let me know.

Someone gently pointed out that I never posted the announcement about the winners from the Biannual Awards competition. My apologies. I had posted the results but not the announcement. So without further ado, please head over to the book to see if you have won and to support those who have won.

Reach out for your sticker. I don't check the account during the week (work really long days) but I am here today and tomorrow.

          Thanks, folks. :)

There's going to be very painful moments in your life that will change your entire world in a matter of minutes. These moments will change YOU. Let them make you stronger, smarter and kinder. But don't go and become someone that you're not. Cry, scream if you have to. Then you straighten out that crown and keep moving.
