I stumbled upon this story this morning and I'm loving it. It's so reminiscent of old Betty Neels and early Harlequins i grew up reading but better! Great job ❤️

@csullivan0616 so true, they never apologized or groveled and if they did it was one measly paragraph! This is going to be so good.

@csullivan0616 I have read nearly every Betty Neels (!) — they are so wonderfully cozy! But revisiting in my later years, I kept thinking the hero really owed the heroine an apology for making her feel invisible until the very end. So I’m trying to get Alex to do the work Betty's heroes never got around to. Emily deserves that, and frankly so did my younger reading self! Consider this an affectionate act of Mills&Boon revenge. Thank you so much for reading!

@vsadh067 Thank you so much — and thank you for reading! I grew up loving Mills & Boon stories, but I always felt too many of those heroes got away with far too much until the last chapter when they'd confess their love in the 11th hour. Somehow we were all expected to simply swoon and forget about it. Not me! I need that hero to earn his lady. Thanks for checking it out!
