*Slides in quietly* Okay... I can explain... I have been really busy lately and have literally had no motivation to grammar-check and port over chapters. I don't know when I can resume, so SSD, although really close to my heart, is put on an indefinite pause. I hope you understand! <33

!!NOTICE: There will not be a new chapter on the 11th. I will be out of state and away from my computer from June 8th to the 13th. Hopefully, I can resume afterward!!
          
          Also, as a little check-up, my mental health is improving. Turns out, it was linked to an allergy medicine that is apparently classified as a "black-box drug." I'm switching over to a new medicine and weaning off of said medication. Allergies are rebelling, but that's okay. I'll get through this eventually.
          
          Finally, I don't know what posting will look like in July and forward. I'll be very busy, and admittedly I have paused writing. I'll explain my situation when we get there. Until then, I'll attempt to remain consistent.

OKAY... HEAR ME OUT lol. I am sorry for not posting for two-three weeks. My mental health was in the dumps and I was busy during the week. The most recent Sunday was Mother's Day, and my family and I visited my grandmother, who has been diagnosed with a pretty bad illness (which I will not discuss atm). I /swear/ I am going to try to make up for lost time!

SSD Chapter release today on pause for mental health reasons. Expect post either tomorrow or Tuesday <33

!!SURGE SQUADRON UPDATES!!
          
          Firstly, upon the release of tomorrow's chapter, I will /try/ to put in an important link... I'll give a rundown real quick. You see, the character Patches is very unique and he's based on a friend in real life. I want to raise awareness about people with her condition because she faces bullying daily to the point where she, like Patches, is very uncomfortable in her skin. No one should ever need to feel that way EVER.
          
          Secondly, I am thinking of splitting SSD into two separate books. Why you might ask? I think that what I am currently working on will simply have too many chapters if I keep it in one lump sum. Also, it will provide a divide between cadet years and time as a trooper of the GAR. The cadet years serve to attach you to the characters and understand them before they are fully ready for action. And it is a time of lightheartedness before they get catapulted into battle. Therefore, I think it might be best for chapter-count and distinguishing purposes that I make a two-part split.

          Just an FYI, I may try posting bi-weekly once I hit Tuesday? That is still uncertain, so don't get your hopes up- ALSO. I am planning on doing story reviews. I really need a "help-me-to-help-you" something something to get SSD more attention.

          Talon is becoming more aggressive in the new chapters! What shall Surge Squadron do to stop him? What else is he going to do? Who knows? Guess you'll have to read SSD to find out ;)
