I'm an author and painter living in Cincinnati with two former street urchins named Shadda and Chewy, along with a furry piranha named Gypsy Foo la Beenz. We spend most mornings at the Mount Airy Dog Park. That's where I was inspired to write this book.

A Shot in the Bark is the first of 5 (so far) dog park mysteries. They wind up in the cozy category,  but it's an unhappy fit. My books have some violence and more romance than is usual for cozies. The best comparisons I can make are with the TV shows Castle and Bones. Both have an ensemble cast and stories presented with a combination of warmth and grisly stuff that I enjoy.
