Let me know what you think of my edits and revisions to the early chapters of my autobiography. I am seeking to revise and improve the book with the insights that I am gaining all the time. This is my first book of this length - not because I didn't have the stories within me already but I had not put the effort into telling a narrative like this. I REALLY need your feedback. This is so important to me.

There are people who know me who tell me how much they are enjoying the book but is that a factor of their positive bias toward me? Also, I struggled to tell a complex story that covers many different topics which are all related to each other. I know that to be the case but I hope that the reader recognizes this and wants to learn more.

Okay, so I am revising my book based on some courses I have taken online. My friends love the story but I want to take it further. I have tried to create a bit of suspense but in many ways I want the reader to be really surprised at what happens later in the book. I don't want the reader to know what happens before anything does happen. I guess the question is why should anyone care what happens in the life of Bruce Whealton. Do you think there is evil in the world? I'm not talking about anything supernatural. I just mean the idea that you can be living a "normal life" and then something or someone evil crosses your path and things are never the same again. Your entire sense of safety and reality is forever changed.

It's hard to imagine something more rewarding than working as a therapist/psychotherapist. The education of a therapist doesn't end with graduation from college. So much more education is required. That's why post-graduate continuing education is so important.

Learning how to overcome shyness might have been the most valuable skill I learned in my education as it opened up new opportunities for me. New educational opportunities and directions - for success and accomplishments.

Here's a chapter that discusses the challenges faced by a couple when one of them has Cystic Fibrosis - a chronic, genetic illness that affects the lungs and breathing. It's very scary when you can't do anything to provide the safety and security of the girl you love and being madly in love you want to do something because you feel the same things as your beloved wife.

Actually, we were forced to be "engaged" because Lynn might lose her insurance and that would threaten her life. Treatment can cost thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars per year. I now say that she was my wife but we never had a wedding or a marriage license. People with Cystic Fibrosis fall in love just like everyone else.
