The 3-year-old boy, James, has been found almost 12 hours after he went missing. It was raining and hailing heavily with strong winds. The grandfather and the uncle found him and sent the grandmother to run back to the house through the bush to tell the parents the good news. He has been checked over and he's okay.

1 hour away from my house, a 3rd-year-old boy has gone missing. He was last seen at 7:30 am (AWST GMT+8). His name is James and was last seen wearing white spiderman pyjamas and rubber boots. They have police canines, mounted police, a helicopter, SES (State Emergency Services) and multiple volunteers looking through thick bushland. My heart goes out to the poor parents.
This incident is bringing up memories for multiple people about William Tyrrel, a 3-year-old who was kidnapped from his front lawn about six years ago. He was wearing a spiderman costume.

James has been found luckily. William was never found, however. There was an old man watering his front lawn when a car drove over his lawn. Said man saw William in the back seat, crying and pressing his hands up against the back window. The police never looked into it.

I’ve decided to make Harry Potter Treacle Fudge. Here’s the recipe if you want to make it yourself.

          Ingredients:
          1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar packed
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
          1/2 cup heavy cream
2 Tablespoons black treacle or dark molasses
          1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
          1 teaspoon vanilla extract

          Instructions:
Generously grease or line a standard 8"x8" square pan and set aside.
In a medium sized saucepan, mix together all of the ingredients except for the vanilla. Heat on medium-high and stir until the butter has completely melted.
Allow the mixture to cook until it reaches 240 degrees F on a candy thermometer. Do not mix during this stage. Once the mixture comes to temperature, remove the pan from the stove and stir in the vanilla.
Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes.
Now, roll up your sleeves and keep stirring (and stirring and stirring) until the mixture becomes super thick - to the point where you can no longer stir because it's so dense. It will resemble a very thick brownie batter consistency. It will take a good 15 minutes or so of constant stirring.
Transfer the fudge to your prepared pan and smooth out the top. Chill in your refrigerator until firm, about 1-2 hours. Slice and serve.

I think Crookshanks got me sick. I think I’ve got a cold/flu. Don’t worry, I’m barely going to leave my bedroom let alone the house. I don’t think I could walk to the car even if I wanted to, I’d fall over on the way

Thanks. I’m feeling a liiiiittle bit better. I can walk around now just very slowly and my legs feel like jelly.

‘The Meaning of Mistletoe’ by Endrina on Archive of our Own is absolutely adorable and so well written. It is 30’000 words, though only 3 chapters long. It is the beginning of a 4 part series called ‘The Secret Language of Plants’. This is the description for ‘The Meaning of Mistletoe’:

“Just… tell me. Tell me what is going on, Snape.”
What was going on was that Severus Snape had no trouble tracking down one Petunia Evans, now Dursley, to a little town in Surrey where he saw how exactly she was treating her nephew. Which somehow led to last night and Severus knocking on Lupin’s door with a toddler half-asleep in his arms.
