Is anyone a Seref Meselsi fan? I just posted the first chapter in my fic, The Rise of the Phoenix.
After I finished the series, it gutted me about the complete lack of SM fanfics, and wondering if I should write one.
Thanks to my friends on my twitter group chat for their encouragement and feedback.
          	Shoutout to @MzRants @_dizi_girl @SCKfan10

How's everyone liking the season so far?

Bluedovewings

@meenuprabhu
Loving everything except Aydan and Ayfer, for different reasons.
Aydan being upset and angry that Eda left when Serkan was the one to metaphorically kick her out is next level.
What did she expect? Eda to be Serkan's emotional punching bag.

Ayfer needs to stop meddling and commenting on how Burak is the perfect husband and father for Eda and Kiraz. She needs to let Eda make decisions for her own life.
For example: the letter. Melo taking the letter thinking Eda wrote if for Serkan. Granted it was Aydan's but if it was Eda's, they should have respected Eda's choice on how and when she decides to tell Serkan about his daughter.

Hmm I am assuming everyone saw that teaser.
          What are your thoughts?
          Why did they breakup?
Clearly they haven't seen each other for 5 years. Serkan didn't know he has a daughter. OOC for Eda. This is the woman who was willing to walk away from the love of her life to give him the chance to be a father, and yet denies him the right to be a father herself.

@Bluedovewings I know they are, I've watched EK, KM, KA and many more. I was was hoping for more from Ayşe now that she got her characters back I guess. I'm disappointed. KM is an example of a show where I honestly didn't even want them to end up together by the end. They'd broken up so many times when the show finally ended I couldn't even be happy for them. My thought was the final credits rolled was 'well thank god, I won't need to watch their next break up!'. I really didn't want that for Edser but it is what it is I guess. Still hoping all is not what it seems though and that there is at least a better reason for all this then Serkan pushed Eda away for her own good again. Because well, I've seen that movie before...

Well I really understand the frustration and confusion, especially with where the show left off in ep39. I don't see Eda leaving because he has a brain tumor, or breaking up with him because he didn't tell her immediately about the tumor. I bet she will be upset but she won't leave him.
Rumor has it that the little is their daughter and how much she actually resembles Hande, it seems likely. It makes me wonder how brutal and cruel Serkan had to be for Eda to not fight for him....it makes me wonder how soon after ep39 did the breakup happen. Because if it's a 5 year time jump, Eda would've been already pregnant.

The breakup and makeups are kind of formulaic with Turkish rom coms, especially when they exceed 25ish eps, from Erkenci Kus, Kiraz Mevsimi, Kiralk Ask..and so on. They kind of make the same or similar mistakes over and over again.

@Bluedovewings Agree % re the teaser getting people talking, which is great İF they all actually decide to also watch the show. I would imagine that Serkan must have pushed Eda away. I'm hoping for a bigger twist than that though. After all, it's exactly what he did in 14. So we've been there done that and what's the point if the characters haven't learned anything? Didn't we have an 8 episode arc where Serkan learned a big lesson about making a big decision for the both of them? And now they're both going to do it? İdk, I'm sure it will (again) be well written, I just don't know if I want to watch it again. Especially with a child involved. We'll see but so far I'm pretty disappointed. Guess they really were not ready for marriage or tattoos after all. At a certain point couples like this become hard to root for. Separating seems to be the only thing they do. They've been together for what 2 weeks out of 6 years now? Maybe they should find new partners.

Hey
          Hope everyone is safe.
As I am waiting for ep34 with subs to watch, I am working on a one shot that's kind of continuation from Blazing Sunshine.
However, I am a little nervous as it seems my muse wants it to be from Selin's POV.
I have a question and would really appreciate some feedback.

          Here it is:
Do you think Selin loves herself?

Bluedovewings

@hgyufde37
I think Selin started with self respect as she was the one who broke up with Serkan when she realized that he never loved her as she told Pyril in ep3.
However, when she saw the kind of boyfriend he was with Eda and what he became around her, she became really jealous as she dreamed of Serkan being with her like he was with Eda.

When Serkan broke up with Eda in 15, she tried to weasel her way back in, when she imposed on Serkan when her home flooded. He naturally offered a room until her situation was resolved. She felt she had another shot. Serkan drunkenly shut that train of thought down when he quite literally kicked her out and said Eda is coming.
She gradually changed and became petty and bitter.

@originalhybridlover Oh year to the constant attention and validation. When you watch episodes, you will notice that every time someone praises Eda, she rolls her eyes and seethes.

@Bluedovewings I think she's insecure beneath her act of being perfect and really craves constant affection and validation and wants to be the center of attention.

I am so nervous. I am about to post my first EK fic. It is kinda like a fix-it when Yigit proposed to Sanem, and made it seem like that was what Can was pushing him to confess.

@Bluedovewings ohhhh ok, then yeah I saw it. I love it! :)

I am wondering what other dizis people have gotten hooked on since Erkenci Kus ended. If I had to mention one, it would be Her Yerde Sen. The chemistry between the leads is on fire but certainly not at the same level for Can and Demet.

Bluedovewings

You should try Her Yerde Sen. Youtube has the current episodes with the english subtitles. And it has some delicious tropey goodness.
But still no show or ship can replace EK and canem.

@Bluedovewings One which I am currently watching is benim tatli yalanim it looks interesting but there are no subtitles after the first episode so I am on a standstill. It looks good as its also a romcom. But ofcourse no one can replace Can and Sanem
