This book will take you up and through there. But in a good way of course. Written by the same Author as “I’ll Ride For You, Homie and I’ll Die For You, Homie.” I took this one up right after reading the two previously mentioned. The main characters reminded me so much of characters from some of my favorite books. Making it so much easier for me to fall in love with them. The journey that each character went on will make you question their intellect at times but also appreciate them for being authentically them. You fall in love with their strong connection with one another and how well they balance each other out. While loving the things that make them different. This book is one that makes the reader yearn for the strong connection they have while also screaming at them through the phone. It is a book that you won’t be able to put down. As I’m writing this review, the book hasn’t yet been completed so we are still on this ride. But I’m glad to add it to my list alongside the rest of the greats. 100/10. Fasho ya right on!

I’ll Ride For You, Homie
I’ll Die For You, Homie by Author @unrelatedrae

Now this right here will have you calling into work because you just can’t seem to put the shitt down. This was one of the first black gay literature books I’ve read, ever. And this was one of the first books that gave me back that OG Wattpad nostalgic reading experience. The way this Author can describe some shitt will make you feel like you’ve entered the books to become a fly on the wall. I love when books are set in the past mainly because you have to be a great writer to have readers be able to follow along during a time they may not have been alive to witness. The Author does a great job of bringing everything to life. The way the Author describes each character will make you fall in love. Almost mad that the characters aren’t real people. It’s easy to read, understand, and follow along through. The dialogue between the main characters will have you falling in love. These books definitely hold a special place in my heart. I definitely recommend. 100/10. Best of the best. Cream of the crop.

Peak in my Essence By Author @yjabamii

This book is one of the best slow burns to ever do it. It allows the reader to truly get to know and understand both characters and why they move the way they do. The journey to trusting one another is one that will have you biting your nails but the slow progression makes you crack a smile. I really love how the Author takes their time describing everything in the book. From the events taking place down to the characters and the clothes they may be wearing. Everything seems to be written and acknowledged for a reason. Some times to add more dimension to each character and other times to help you follow along. The way you seem to appreciate the connection between the characters as their encounters increase allows for a smooth read. And when the tension starts to tension you don’t want to put your phone down. Each time it seems like the characters dish out small rewards for our patience with them working towards building a connection. I’m excited to see what all this Author will put us through. Definitely 100/10. It’s a read you’ll definitely enjoy.

Below The Belt
On The Ropes By Author @ironjesterr

These books seem to have a little bit of everything. I really love how you get a glimpse into the lives of so many different people all battling different things. The Author does an amazing job of shifting between all the different characters in the book so you’ll get a healthy portion of perspectives throughout. I loved how the book flowed as if you were watching a movie. Everything written felt relevant to the story, the progression of the book, and the development of each character. There are so many funny moments in both books and other times I had to stare at my phone like, “I know this nigga ain’t just say what I think he said.” This was one of the first books I’ve read where autism wasn’t just mentioned but many of its aspects were explained. And it was very individualized in the sense that what you may know about autism may not pertain to every single individual with autism. It also was a nice reminder to see how everybody’s differences make them unique which in turn makes it easier for everybody to coexist. It was refreshing to read something so colorful. So many things I had been educated on and so many perspectives I was willing to acknowledge. It is definitely one of them ones. 100/10. Definitely recommend.

King and Him By Author @TEMPTTED

Baby, they don’t make em like King no more. The way the story escalated and the action field ride it took you on was so addicting. It had me on the edge not wanting to put my phone down. The topics discussed in the book helped to give voice to things that may not be a part of everyones reality, but are important when discussing change, equality, and unity. The perspectives from which each topic is discussed help the reader understand each argument no matter what side they may have been on prior. The way each character developed for the better made you wish you were them. The way the Author builds up the tension between the characters was so refreshing. It wasn’t rushed and it made each moment they shared more meaningful. It was moments in the book that made you scared to swipe over to the next page in fear of not knowing what could happen. But it added to all the excitement. And the way the characters defied society's norms in their own special way was so empowering. I would love to read more of them as well. 100/10 This book will definitely hold a special place in your heart. Makes you want to ask your partners, “Why can’t you be more like King?”

Movie Star By Author @cooterslam

This is one of my favorite books if not my favorite. Chileeeee the emotional roller coaster is definitely worth it. And the way the Author makes you feel like you’re the main character and not the reader is crazy. I had to ask myself a few times. “When did you ever experience this?” The ride is soooo smooth. The way the Author writes is so easy on my brain. The character development and the way it isn’t rushed and how the reader is able to take their time getting to know the characters is so dope and addicting. The topics mentioned in the book and how the Author decided on how each character would address them, was very heartwarming and refreshing. Makes you empathize and sympathize with them more. I felt like I had built a bond with the characters. Not wanting to let them go after reading the Epilogue. I really like how it forces you to engage subconsciously with the characters. Its no way you won’t be emotionally attached after reading. And this was a part of some of the first few books I've read since getting on this app years ago that gave me that nostalgic Wattpad feeling again. Like its melancholy moments and its heartwarming moments were so perfectly balanced. And how it comforts you by sending a message to the reader that its okay not to be okay. And the character’s journey towards healing showed me as a reader that it’s okay to ask for help. The things I would do to read this story again for the very first time. Don’t want to give anything away so it’s definitely something you’d want to add to your reading list if you haven't already 100/10. Fasho ya right on!!

Pt. 2 of my review for Love, Summer

The ones that have you on an emotional roller coaster. You’ll definitely grow attached to the characters, not wanting the book to come to an end. It definitely brought back that old nostalgic Wattpad reading experience for me again. It definitely holds a special place in my heart. It's a book I feel should have way more traffic and engagement than it does. Can’t wait to read more from this Author. 100/10. *In my Keith Lee voice* Definitely my top 5 Author’s that I would recommend. And more work from this Author is on the way!!

I guess I’ll start my Reading list with my most recent read:

          Love, Summer by Author @Jadore_Moi

Their writing style is phenomenal. I like reading books that are descriptive enough that you feel like you’re there with the characters. Just the right amount of detail, where you aren’t being overwhelmed but there’s a good balance between dialogue and explainations. Where everything mentioned is relevant for comprehension while keeping a smooth reading pace. I started this book last year but I was just able to finish it a few days ago. I love how realistic the events feel and the order in which they took place. And how developed the characters were. You get to know their inner thoughts and feelings, making it easier to understand them and why they do the things they do. Giving them more dimension and depth, instead of only providing the reader with surface-level knowledge. The Author does an amazing job of introducing topics that a lot of people struggle with and breaks them down so people who may not ever experience them can still empathize with the characters. You’re also able to make that connection to those certain topics through the Author’s ability to descriptively write out how each event in the story follows each other and their importance and how they shape each character involved. The ride the Author will take you on will be a very interesting one. One that will stay with you, even after the book is over. There are times when the book will have you laughing and other times you’re snotting, crying, and sliding down the wall. But even with all that, you just can’t seem to put your phone down. I always find those to be the best ones.

Hey y’all. Y’all might’ve seen my comments in your favorite author’s books. I be cracking myself up man. Anyways, I feel like I should start leaving reviews on here or little comments after I’m finish reading a book. A lot of times I want to share my thoughts but my grandma raised me to not give my opinion unless somebody asked for it ‍♀️ But I’ve read so many books on Wattpad it don’t make no sense. I’d only post things I liked about each book I’ve read. Without spoiling them for readers who haven’t read them yet ‼️, of course. I don’t Iike spoiling things for people. If you want to know what happens next or more about what it’s about, I’ll tell you to go read it for yourself. I’ve also been thinking of posting some stories or something on here myself, although I’m not a writer. I have a lot of ideas floating around, but I don’t like starting things and then not finishing them. But back to the topic at hand. I’ve read a few books that I feel should have more engagement. They barely have any comments or votes but the books be so damn good .

@BilluMisk Okay, I just took another look to see if the books Ive started writing reviews for are ones that you’ve read already and I believe they are. But I’ve read plenty so I’m pretty sure I’ll mention one that you haven’t read yet and can check out. I wanted to also do this to give some of my favorite Authors their flowers. So it may take a min to mention ones you aren’t familar with yet. Just be patient with me please ❤️ lol. I’ll post what I’ve written a review for now while I work on the rest.
