          Remember when saving your work meant praying the floppy disk wouldn’t fail?  In the 90s, companies trusted magnetic tapes, RAID drives, and magneto-optical disks to keep their data safe — long before “the cloud” was even a thing! ☁️
          
          ✅ Tapes were the kings of backup (offline and hacker-proof).
          ✅ RAID arrays kept servers running even if a hard drive failed.
          ✅ MO disks locked data tight with tamper-proof storage.
          
          It’s wild to think how far we’ve come — from gigabytes to terabytes in just a few decades!

For anyone wanting to:
          
          Create alternate realities or plots

          You can try different branches or arcs in your book!
          
          ️Paint the picture first: Start with the table of contents at the beginning, give a general outline of what the story is about (or first few chapters, no spoilers). Add clickable links to the different chapters or story paths, which will allow readers to jump to the storyline of their choice. Yes, it can be done in Wattpad!
          
          Chapter 1: The high-school reunion
          Option 1- Go on an adventure 
          Option 2-Solve a mystery
          
          Chapter 2: Meeting with past love interest
          Option 1 -Ties back to option 1 timeline, or not
          Option 2-Ties back to Option 2, or not
          
          For example, in one storyline, the main character might go on an adventure, while in another, they might stay behind to solve a mystery.
          
          ‍‍♀️You can also change characters‍:
          
          Chapter 1: The high-school reunion
          Option 1- Shy boy main character
          
          Chapter 2: The confession
          Option 1-Change pov to mean girl, villain, best friend etc.
          
          For example, say “Choose whether you want to follow Sarah or Max for the next chapter.” Each character could have a separate plotline.
          
          Then try to continue writing the next chapter setting before the character development.
