I’m the same way, much to everyone else’s annoyance. I don’t like to be gifted things or to be thrown any sort of celebration. I also hate how people that don’t talk to you the other 364 days of the year suddenly pop back up, either because social media prompted them to wish you a happy birthday or because it’s the one little thing that they remember about you. Not that anyone has to talk to year-round, but I’d rather just keep the communication to something more important, you know, like a life milestone or something.
