I am thrilled to announce that on August 15th, Fire and Ice will be released by The Wild Rose Press. It is the second book in my award-winning Mauzzy & Me Mystery Series. People's level of excitement for this book is WAY up there because it is a mystery within a mystery...within a mystery. The e-book is currently available for preorder on Amazon and will soon be out for preorder on Nook and iTunes (books). Over the next week or two, the paperback will be available for preorder on all the major platforms. I posted the cover and blurb on my profile page.

          This is to announce that in December I signed a contract for book 2 of the Mauzzy and Me Mystery Series!!! The first book, Against My Better Judgment, won awards and was well received by book reviewers, including a coveted "Recommended" rating by the US Review of Books. I feel VERY GOOD about this second book. Trust me. Over the coming months, as we build to the release date, I will be rolling out the title drop, cover reveal, and more. PLUS GIVEAWAYS. Happy Holidays everybody! I hope this finds everybody safe, happy, and most importantly, healthy.
          
          I have begun posting a short story mystery titled "The Mystery of the Millionaires' Shortbread." This story includes Sara Donovan and her crafty little dachshund Mauzzy, the same two main characters from my award-winning book, Against My Better Judgment. It's a seven-part story, and I will be posting 1-2 parts per week. Check it out if you are looking for a laugh or two sprinkled in with a little mystery and intrigue.

After winning Honorable Mention for Mystery/Crime in the 2021 Eric Hoffer Awards, below is their judges' review of my book AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT:
          
          Against My Better Judgment, B.T. Polcari, The Wild Rose Press - A fun cozy mystery filled with chuckles throughout, college freshman Sara Donovan is a wannabe detective with her dog at her side. She finds herself in some comical situations, right in the middle of cramming for finals! This is a fast-paced story with an engaging mystery and various twists and turns. There are enough suspects to keep the reader guessing and sleuthing along with Sara. The addition of Egyptian artifacts is a unique angle. Snappy dialogue combines with just the right amount of romance to create an enjoyable, quick read.

ANOTHER BIG ANNOUNCEMENT:
          
          The Eric Hoffer Awards just released their category finalists and winners plus the Grand Prize Winner. Although Against My Better Judgment did not win the Grand Prize, it was a tremendous honor to be one of only 134 finalists out of 2500. But the big news today is:
          
          The book won Honorable Mention in the Mystery/Crime category. There was a category winner, runner-up and 3 honorable mentions out of probably 150+ books in the category.
