For me, productive writing demands that I set a nearly daily routine and follow it. For me, productive writing demands that I ignore the distractions that are vying for my attention practically every moment I'm staring at that page with lines running through my head as I seek to discover where the story is leading me. For me, productive writing is a never-ending search for prose that flows with rhythm and passion. For me, writing is a love affair. For I am in love with mystery, and romance, and suspense. And love it when the words falling upon the page surprise and thrill me. And the love affair I have with the characters, whom are the only people on earth allowed to romp and play in the dark corners of my mind.
