"Fiction is a solution, the best solution, to the problem of existential solitude." - Jonathan Franzen

Welcome to Avant-Pop, where past and future collide and we leave no one behind!

This is a Community Profile aimed to celebrate the craft of great writing and amazing, unforgettable characters. We welcome the unexpected, we love the unconventional, and we honor daring.

Here we like to think outside the box, we don't fear experimenting, and we throw tropes and structures out the window!

There are no genres here, the only limit is your imagination, and your imagination is limitless. We don't want answers from your stories, we want to ask questions.

We want stories to go beyond the simple escapism of reading. We want to wonder about life, the world, the universe, people around us, what goes on in our minds and in our hearts. We want to feel what the characters feel, we want them to make us feel like we've never felt before, we want them to give words to our unspoken thoughts.

For more information, check out our Profile's Guidebook! There will be specific chapters for foreign language authors.
