In the Kingdom of Penacony, everyone knew the royal Halovian twins. Prince Sunday was the shining star, the beloved heir whose footsteps were followed by the cheers of countless fangirls and noble subjects. Then, there was me. The hidden princess. Ever since our mother passed away when we were just four years old, the palace walls became my entire universe. While Sunday was groomed for the throne, I was kept locked away from the dangers of the outside world. I spent my days losing myself in melodies, dancing across the marble floors of my room, and folding endless origami stars just to keep my hands busy. But talent means very little when you have no audience. Sunday had the world; I had a bedroom. I thought I was destined to wither away in this beautiful prison. But King Lewis, seeing his daughter grow hollow and dull, decided to bring the outside world to me. He didn't bring a standard court jester or a noble maid. He brought an outsider—a creature they called a monster, wearing a melancholic mask. His name was Pierrot. He was meant to be my servant, my entertainer, my shadow. But as his dark eyes locked onto mine through the slits of his mask, I had a feeling he was going to become something much more.
