I began working on my Life After War Series more than 25 years ago. I finally got the nerve to start publishing books from it in 2010. I can still remember how badly my stomach hurt while waiting for those first reactions. I honestly thought I was the only one who liked this type of story. I didn't expect anyone to care.
Now, I have 15 novels out. I've been a bestseller a couple of times on the big online stores (Still shooting for the NYT List, but I will get there), I've won a few awards, and gained a wonderful group of fans. In five years, I went from a taxi dispatcher who couldn't afford her bills, to a productive, successful member of society. With hard work, I pulled myself out of a bad life and provided a future where one didn't exist before. I not only believe in the American dream, I'm living it.
YOU made that possible, btw. If not for the patient readers, the tireless betas, the dedicated people who format my 800 page monsters, it wouldn't have happened. My life would still suck. It doesn't now, and that's your honor. Thank you for believing in me. I adore you all.
