Community poll! How do yall feel when you see a cover to a book - and know for an absolute fact that art was not used with permission? Rarely do i find illustrations that i am familiar enough with to know exactly who did them, and who for, but it does happen. And when it does, i wonder if i should report the story for theft or not. Obviously the art is stolen, but if i were a kid who didnt know any better and suddenly had my book (which was mine) taken down for art theft?? That would hurt. Often times someone will look for a cool image on Google and not even know where it came from. But as an artist myself, i can tell you how devastating it can be to have something you spent HOURS working on, thrown onto someone elses accomplishments.
All around not a good situation, but i am curious on others thoughts on the matter?
