Would y'all be interested in a Kira x Male Reader story?

DreamyAutumnRose

@AtticusBuffkell I think when people make the (Y/n) character they already have in mind the character's backstory/ personality etc. But the (Y/n)/ reader part just gives freedom for the reader to either imagine themselves in the story, or give a name to the character and imagine what the character looks like.
Oh no. Sorry that was bad wording from me, what I meant was because it's an x Male Reader story and I'm a female reader I'll just give the (Y/n) character a boy name and imagine his appearance (E/c, H/c, etc), then that character interacting with Kira. But with Kira's looks I'll imagine it according to the description you give in your story.

It's okay because I was already aware you were a girl. I was quoting a meme when I said that.
I think a lot of people reading X Reader stories don't imagine (Y/n) as themselves. Don't know how true that is, but I've seen posts online before where people would make fun of stuff (Y/n) would do, and one time one of my friends started reading an X Reader story I made years ago, but I'm not sure if she knew (Y/n) was her/whoever was reading it. Those are the vibes I got from her comments, that is.
...But I also don't remember if I specified who (Y/n) was....and if I didn't, it would make sense if she didn't actually know who (Y/n) was supposed to be. I think this also happens if (Y/n) doesn't act or look how the reader does.
When you said "imagine his looks with Kira", do you mean you'll imagine her looks too? At the start of every story I make with Kira, Yuki, Kori, and Neon, I describe their looks, but without a picture the reader might imagine things differently.
Although it's been a while since I've edited these stories so I'll have to go back and check to be sure.

@AtticusBuffkell Definitely am a girl. Sorry for causing this confusion. Of course, whether you're just thinking about it or actually will be making it is up to you. Since you asked on your message board I just answered to show you that I was interested if you did write one.
The reason I'd be interested is because of the way I read X Reader stories. I actually don't use my name or put myself in it, but I name and imagine y/n instead. So if I were to read that I would make up a boy name and imagine his looks with Kira. I know, the way I read these kind of stories seems strange or weird.

Hey Atticus, I just thought of a question for TTB and wanted to ask before I forgot.

Would Seto and Noah ever have sibling rivalry with each other? Like especially over Mokuba as his big brothers and what they think is best for him.
I mean Mokuba is the closest person in Seto's life and he would do anything to protect his little bro because he is his world. Then they got adopted Seto would have to share Mokuba with Noah and Mokuba gets along with him.
So when Mokuba gives Noah a lot of attention would Seto ever get jealous?

AtticusBuffkell

@DreamyAutumnRose
Yeah, there's a decent amount of people who ship the boys together. I know that if you look up Yu-Gi-Oh! stories online you get quite a few stories pulled up where the boy characters are shipped. Don't know if that has caused people to assume all/a lot of YGO! stories are gay shipping or not. It happened to me enough that that's why I put in my description that TTB isn't a gay story and to not read it if that's what they were expecting it to be.

@AtticusBuffkell Oh okay that makes sense, thanks for explaining. Thinking about it you're right, he did have a lot on his mind and one of the things was planning to kick Gozaburo out of KaibaCorp.
yeah I saw that when I was reading the description... although I didn't see myself how it's a guy x guy story. From reading the title and the story description I would think the story is about brotherhood. I've seen Yu-Gi-Oh! gay shipping stories many times, most commonly Seto x Joey, and Yugi x Atem.
I've actually seen shipping of Mokuba and Noah before as well.

I guess it depends on the story that's being written. In my story that didn't happen because I genuinely was not thinking about jealousy when I was writing it and the story covered more important things than jealousy, not to mention Seto had a lot on his mind after getting adopted that he wanted to solve first, so he wasn't thinking about Mokuba as much as Mokuba was thinking about Seto. I can see Seto getting jealous if it was due to a misunderstanding but solving it later due to all the KaibaCorp stuff going on.
I do like I didn't have a type of sibling rivalry/jealousy type thing going on because I think people would take it the wrong way. TTB has been added to a lot of guy x guy reading lists (honestly not sure if they GENUINELY think this story is gay, they have all the space taken up in a reading list, or they assumed the story was gay because a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! stories are about gay shipping. It's also been added to x reader reading lists but that happens with a lot of stories) and something tells me that if I did write in a sibling rivalry arc that people would go crazy with it.....even though it was meant to be just jealousy if I did write an arc in.

Hey! I just voted on my favourite chapters on The Third Brother, I really enjoyed reading about Seto and Mokuba's backstory before they were sent to the orphanage and their life at the orphanage before they were adopted. Seto was so protective of Mokuba all the way through and I love it they are such sweet siblings :3.
Anyway I read every chapter up to 17 but only voted on my favourites because I didn't want to cause a spam. I used to be shy about commenting and voting on stories but now I'll probably be more vocal about when I like stories since I'm starting to be active on wattpad.

DreamyAutumnRose

@AtticusBuffkell Yeah for sure stay away from people who are unappreciative. Those people I came across that weren't appreciative in the past were people that were either really popular or gained popularity fast.
Aww that is so sweet! And I feel the same, anytime I see a new comment on my message wall it makes my day.

That's one reason why I've seen silent readers, yes. I'd recommend you stay away from the unappreciative people and vote and comment on friends stories as well as any author while paying no attention to the unappreciative ones.
I don't get why someone wouldn't be appreciative of someone who voted and commented on their story unless they're going through a really bad situation. If I woke up to find my little bro (not actually related) voted and commented on my stories, I'd be stoked!

@AtticusBuffkell You're welcome! And I definitely will keep that in mind.
I've been a silent reader myself because I'm really shy in general and had experience with people who weren't appreciative. I'm new here but I felt so happy when a few people commented on my conversation wall, I really appreciated it so I would do the same for someone else. I don't want anyone to think their story is bad when it's not the case.

Hey guys. The "story" I published just now was something I wrote back in 2021. I took it down for editing earlier this year and finally finished editing today. I'll release another story tomorrow. The reason these stories are close together is because they were meant to be published further apart, but I decided to fully finish editing this book I rereleased today instead of publishing it early when it wasn't finished in the editing process.

AtticusBuffkell

Sorry for the spam, guys. I thought the whole story would be republished. I wasn't aware I would have to republish the whole thing individually, so I decided it was best to publish the whole thing instead of waiting to do so.

I've been getting comments and messages from bots on fanfiction.net and now it's seeped over to Wattpad. Be careful, guys. If you see someone wanting to turn your story into a comic and leaving their socials on your story, DO NOT REPLY. That's a scam.

Marcuslover400

@AtticusBuffkell right I'll keep an eye out. after the book theif accident I haven't been so trusting with other writers helping with my books after I had a beta on fanfiction.net who hasn't responded back since I know I sound heartless for cutting the beta out like that it's hard to trust just anyone with your works that are practically your children that's why I take longer breaks in between updates not just because going from screen to screen while reading it and writing it, I don't mind suggestions of my readers I barely have a voice in important matters irl that everything is either planned out for me by my mom or everyone agrees with her that fanfics are my escape from 2015 when I was in middle school through high school until now I barely had a choice and now fanfics aren't just my escape they are my safe place freedom of speech so to speak besides being able to talk to my boyfriend who my family hates I made friends here and I won't let bots and scammers run me away besides we're all family here even though we as a whole never met it helps to think everyone here and on fanfiction.net aren't alone in this situation fanfics or irl situations don't you think?

Yeah, if you see anyone saying something to you like "Hey, I'm (so and so)! Your story is fascinating, the characters, the plot! I wanna make your story come to life through art!" or anything like that, avoid it.
Sometimes it can be hard to spot, and some can be more detailed in their comments than others. But pay attention to how they talk about your story and you'll know.

@AtticusBuffkell thanks I've had one that said they'll make a fanfic book cover from fanfiction.net and I denied them after talking more about it where it wouldn't go through my email all the time and told them thanks but no thanks cuz 1. I didn't have the money and 2. Is because something seemed off, like a while back I had to deal with a book theif on here and I had to put in my disciption on my profile I wasn't a book theif so yeah your totally right and it's understandable

Hey everyone! That Snow White story I released yesterday is supposed to be a joke/humorous story. It's not completed in drafts yet and will likely have slow updates. I started writing it back in 2023 as well and only released it now because I finally knew what I wanted to happen in it.

I_eat_CHILDR3N

Thanks for cutely and nonchalantly helping not make a fool of myself because I was unaware that BPD already had a meaning and I just had tried shortening Bipolar Personality Disorder :3

AtticusBuffkell

@I_eat_CHILDR3N
It's perfectly fine! I remember researching them years back and it took me a long time to understand the difference. The disorders are very similar to each other and it helps they both start with B, which can make it hard to differentiate the two.
